Love to see it! After a super tough year for Ne-Yo and Crystal Smith, the couple has managed to make things work and secure their love!

As we previously reported, back in February of 2020, Ne-Yo confirmed he was divorcing his wife. Despite that, the “Miss Independent” hitmaker said at the time: “I’m never gonna talk bad about her. I’m not that person. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman. She’s the mother of my children and she’s always gonna be that and I will always respect her.” Clearly, he didn’t want to let his good wife go because, in May, the two were able to reconcile.

On Thursday, Ne-Yo wanted to let his wife know just how much she meant to him by asking her to marry him, AGAIN! During an NYE dinner with close friends, Ne-Yo took a moment to make a special toast to Smith. He said to her: “I love you,” before asking her, “We have decided that this is our forever, yes?” After Smith seemingly confirms, Ne-Yo then says, “I need you to know there is nobody else on the face of the planet I would rather be with, and with that being said,” before then pulling out an engagement ring.

A speechless Smith becomes emotional but accept his proposal. The crowd around the man can be heard cheering and congratulating the couple. Ne-Yo is father to sons Roman Alexander-Raj, 2, and Shaffer Chimere Jr., 4, whom he shares with Renay, and son Mason Evan, 8½, and daughter Madilyn Grace, 9½, from a previous relationship.

As we previously reported earlier this week, famed fashion designer Alexander Wang was accused of sexual assault and spiking drinks by multiple alleged victims. He’s now speaking out to deny these heavy allegations against him!

In response to the big claims, Wang called them “grotesquely false” in a statement to PEOPLE Magazine: “Over the last few days, I have been on the receiving end of baseless and grotesquely false accusations. These claims have been wrongfully amplified by social media accounts infamous for posting defamatory material from undisclosed and/or anonymous sources with zero evidence or any fact-checking whatsoever,” Wang said.

He added, “Seeing these lies about me being perpetuated as truths has been infuriating,” Wang continued. “I have never engaged in the atrocious behavior described and would never conduct myself in the manner that’s been alleged. I intend to get to the bottom of this and hold accountable whoever is responsible for originating these claims and viciously spreading them online.

The major claims came to light after model and graphic designer Owen Mooney took to TikTok to share his alleged encounter with Wang in 2017, describing how he “froze” when he alleged that Wang groped his crotch during a concert in New York City. On Wednesday, another young man told DailyMail.com that Wang was “aggressive” and performed sex acts on him back in August while he was in a blacked out state, in a packed club and later that night in an Uber.

Social media users have been accusing popular reality star Tiffany Pollard of transphobia after a clip of the dating show “One Mo’ Chance” went viral.

Pollard, also known as “New York,” was a guest on the series to help Kamal Chance Givens – who previously appeared on her show “I Love New York” – find the right woman. You didn’t shed any light on the questions that I had, and I feel like you have a situation. I do believe that you are a man.”

Walker, who is not transgender, said: “I know I’m not.” Pollard continued: “Does it bother you when I tell you that I feel like you’re a man? That you have genitalia, like penis and balls and sweaty d***? What does that do to you, does it f*** with you at all?” Walker said: “No, ” with the reality star saying: “That’s what scares me, and that’s why you’re going home.” Social media users were not here for the clip, especially some members of the LGBTQ community. However, she’s now speaking out to set the record straight. The 38-year-old said under our comment section: “ACTUALLY ‼️ ACTUALLY ‼️THE WOMAN IN THE CLIP IS NOT TRANS ‼️I REPEAT SHE IS NOT TRANS ‼️ SO THIS IS ALL SOOOO UNTRUE.”

While speaking with the Metro.co.uk, Walker, 26, said: “Throughout the show the household kept calling me a man. All I can say is that I was born a female and keep it moving. You know? I didn’t find it necessary to fight with the bullies within the house. I chose to stay gracious.”

The victim, Jamar Mackey, told TMZ earlier this month he and his fiancée were pissed not only for the humiliation and alleged profiling but because the officers were not wearing masks! Jamar and Shantel Covil tell the news site that they’ve been taking this pandemic and quarantine very seriously because he owns a sanitizing business while she has a home healthcare business. They say they both test frequently, and got his positive test result on Dec. — 22 just 3 days after the incident — so he’s convinced that was the source of his infection. Although Shantel has tested negative, Jamar says they’re most concerned about their children, including their newborn, contracting the virus.

The couple also tells TMZ that they want VBPD to make some big changes, including firing the maskless officer who handcuffed Jamar!

Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris Receive COVID-19 Vaccine: “I Barely Felt It”

This Tuesday morning, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris received her first dose of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine in D.C. Her husband, Doug Emhoff, also received the vaccination today.

“That was easy,” Harris said after getting her shot. “I barely felt it.” Harris’ vaccination came a little over a week after President-elect Joe Biden received his first coronavirus vaccination on live television. He received a dose of the Pfizer vaccine at a hospital not far from his Delaware home. The president-elect and vice president-elect join a growing list of elected officials who received the vaccine this month, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

After being administered the vaccine in her left arm, Harris said: “I want to encourage everyone to get the vaccine. It is relatively painless. It happens really quickly. It is safe.”

She added, “It’s literally about saving lives,” Harris said. “I trust the scientists. And it is the scientists who created and approved this vaccine. So I urge everyone, when it is your turn, get vaccinated.”

Although Vice President Mike Pence was the first major public figure from Trump’s administration to get vaccinated, it has been unclear if Donald Trump will also do so.

Jessie J Opens Up About Ménière’s disease — Reveals She Spent Christmas Eve In Hospital Unable To Hear Or Walk

Jessie J is opening up about her recent health battle, revealing she was forced to spend Christmas Eve in the hospital after being struck down with Meniere’s disease.

The 32-year-old singer disclosed her illness on a recent Instagram Live in which she revealed that she struggled to hear, sing, or even walk. As the Daily News notes, Ménière’s disease is an ear condition that can cause sudden attacks of dizzy spells vertigo, and loss of hearing.

She explained to fans, “I woke up and felt like I was completely deaf in my right ear, couldn’t walk in a straight line. Basically, I got told I had Meniere’s syndrome. I know that a lot of people suffer from it and I’ve actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice, so I’ve just been laying low in silence.” She went on to say, “Now’s the first time I’ve been able to sing and bear it. I just miss singing so much and being around anyone.” The star went on: “It could be way worse, it is what it is. I’m super-grateful for my health. It just threw me off.”

“On Christmas Eve I was in the ear hospital going, ‘What is going on?’. But I’m glad I went early and they worked out what it was real quick and I got put on the right medicine so I feel a lot better today. I haven’t sung for so long and when I sing loud, it sounds like there’s someone trying to run out of my ear,” she added.

UPDATE: Nashville Names “Hero” Cops Who Cleared Area Before Christmas Bombing

Several cops are being praised for clearing out an area in downtown Nashville before the big explosion that authorities said was “intentional.”

As we previously reported, six cops were able to evacuate buildings in downtown Nashville before an RV exploded. Nashville Mayor John Cooper praised the officers for their quick thinking and putting themselves in danger to save lives on Christmas morning. “They are heroes. And I am grateful for them and all of Nashville’s first responders,” Cooper said, according to CNN.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department publicly identified those officers, who range from a rookie to an 11-year veteran as: Officer Brenna Hosey, a 4-year veteran; Officer James Luellen, with the department for 3 years; Officer Michael Sipos, a rookie with 16 months on the job; Officer Amanda Topping, with the department for 21 months; Officer James Wells, also with the department for 21 months; and Sergeant Timothy Miller, an 11-year veteran, the New York Post notes. In addition to this, CBS News is reporting that a “person or persons” of interest has been identified in the bombing in downtown Nashville.

According to Kiro7, authorities identified Anthony Quinn Warner, 63, as a person of interest and were searching a home associated with him. No further details were shared.

UPDATE: RV That Blew Up In Nashville Played Audio Warning Explosion Was Coming

As we previously reported, a large explosion was reported in downtown Nashville earlier this Christmas morning.

Police initially responded to reports of shots fired near Second Avenue and Commerce Street before 6 a.m., when they saw a suspicious vehicle outside a nearby AT&T building. Metro police spokesperson Don Aaron said officers alerted the department’s bomb squad, which was en route when a “significant explosion” happened about thirty minutes later. The force of the explosion knocked an officer to the ground. At the time three people were sent to the hospital with injuries.

According to the latest update by the city’s police chief revealed that the RV that blew up in Nashville on Friday morning was reportedly playing a recording that warned it was going to explode. The recording said “a potential bomb would detonate within 15 minutes,” Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake said during an afternoon news conference. Meanwhile, an unconfirmed YouTube video clip titled “Nashville Explosion” appears to contain audio of the recording, with a female voice urging people to flee just before the blast. “All buildings in this area must be evacuated now. All buildings in this area must be evacuated now,” the voice says. The video has been shared by multiple news outlets including TMZ.

Although authorities say they believe the blast was intentionally set, they have not been more specific nor did they suggest whether or not this was an act of terrorism — domestic or otherwise. An investigation is still underway.

Earlier today on this Christmas morning, a large explosion was reported in downtown Nashville.

According to local reports, police were responding to reports of shots fired near Second Avenue and Commerce Street before 6 a.m., when they saw a suspicious vehicle outside a nearby AT&T building. “Acting Attorney General Jeff Rosen was briefed on the Nashville incident early this morning and directed that all DOJ resources be made available to assist in the investigation.”

Black Doctor Dies From Coronavirus After Saying Hospital Was Mistreating Her Because She Is Black

Earlier this month, Dr. Susan posted a video to Facebook to share that she believed she was not receiving proper medical care because she was Black. Moore, an Indianapolis physician was initially being treated for COVID-19 at Indiana University Hospital North.

“I don’t trust this hospital,” Dr. Susan Moore said from her hospital bed in Indiana with an oxygen tube hooked up to her nose. “That is not how you treat patients.” Moore tested positive for the coronavirus on November 29 and said she faced obstacles in getting treatment from White doctors and nurses in the hospital, including begging for the antiviral drug Remdesivir, waiting hours for pain medication, and demanding a CT scan of her chest to prove her pain was real. It eventually detected pulmonary infiltrates and inflamed lymph nodes, she said, but she continued to wait hours for pain medication. “All I know is that I am in intense pain,” Moore said in the heartbreaking video, adding that the doctor downplayed her pain. “[The doctor] made me feel like I was a drug addict, and he knew I was a physician.”

She said she spoke to a patient advocate, who she says told her nothing could be done. She then asked to be transferred to a different hospital but was told that she should just go home. “This is how Black people get killed,” Moore said. “When you send them home and they don’t know how to fight for themselves,” CBS quotes. After being sent home, just less than 12 hours later, she caught a fever and her blood pressure plummeted, so she returned to the hospital, according to her Facebook updates. “Those people were trying to kill me. Clearly, everyone has to agree they discharge me way too soon,” she wrote. “They are now treating me for a bacterial pneumonia as well as Covid pneumonia.”  Sadly, Moore died this week after being admitted to another hospital.
She was 52-years-old.

A rep for Indiana University Health told TMZ that the hospital could not comment on individual patients or care because of privacy law. It adds, “As an organization committed to equity and reducing racial disparities in healthcare, we take accusations of discrimination very seriously and investigate every allegation.” The rep continued, “Treatment options are often agreed upon and reviewed by medical experts from a variety of specialties, and we stand by the commitment and expertise of our caregivers and the quality of care delivered to our patients every day.”

UPDATE: House Republicans Have Rejected A Measure That Would Increase Direct Payments To Americans To $2,000

Well, an effort by House Democrats to pass a bill to provide $2,000 stimulus checks has been rejected.

As we previously reported, the Democrats’ pushed to pass the bill after President Trump disapproved of the initial $2.3 trillion must-pass legislation, complaining that the $600 direct payments to Americans included in the bill were “too small.” Instead, Trump shockingly called for the amount to be raised to $2,000 – setting the scene for a potential government shutdown.

According to The Hill, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) sought to pass a measure to boost the check size to $2,000 during the Christmas Eve session of the House by unanimous consent but a number of Republicans in Congress oppose direct payments of that amount. Despite this, Thursday’s effort on the $2,000 direct payments from House Democrats won’t be their last. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said in a statement that the House on Monday would hold a recorded vote on legislation to increase the size of the checks in the relief package to $2,000.

“To vote against this bill is to deny the financial hardship that families face and to deny them the relief they need,” she said. “Hopefully by then the President will have already signed the bipartisan and bicameral legislation to keep government open and to deliver coronavirus relief.”

U.S. Officials Urge Calm Despite Finding New Covid-19 Strain Abroad

Over the weekend, the United Kingdom tightened COVID-19 restrictions due to a new, faster-spreading strain of the virus that experts say is moving through the commonwealth. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that parts of London would move to the highest level of restrictions after England’s public health officials confirmed that a variant of COVID-19 found in the country is moving 70 percent faster than other types.

The strain was first detected by scientists in early December, according to the U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock. He first announced it on Dec. 14, saying that it was prominent in areas where the virus was spreading faster than expected. According to the Times citing a study published Dec. 18, researchers believe a mutation to the genes that code for COVID-19’s spike protein, the part of the virus that clings to human cells allowing for infection, likely causes its increased transmissibility.

Due to this, dozens of countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Iran, Colombia, and Morocco, have also suspended flights from the U.K. for 48 hours or more. Saudi Arabia has closed its borders and suspended all flights regardless of destination or origin, NBC news notes. Meanwhile, U.S. health officials are monitoring the new strain of COVID-19 emerging in the United Kingdom, U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams said on Sunday, adding that any mutation shows people must keep protecting themselves from the novel coronavirus while awaiting vaccination, Reuters report. “Viruses mutate all the time,” Adams told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” program.

“If this is a mutation that is more contagious, then that just means that we need to be that much more vigilant while we wait to be vaccinated.”

Trump Denies Report He Discussed Idea Of Imposing Martial Law And ‘Re-Running’ The Election

On Saturday, the Times reported that Trump held a White House meeting to discuss new ways to resist or overturn Joe Biden’s presidential victory. It was said that he entertained a recommendation his former aide had made on the conservative Newsmax TV to “rerun” the 2020 election under military supervision.

Former national security adviser Michael Flynn had suggested earlier this week that Trump could invoke martial law as part of his efforts to overturn the election that he lost to Joe Biden. It wasn’t clear whether Trump endorsed the idea, but others in the room forcefully pushed back and shot it down, according to the news site. CNN reports that the meeting even became heated with lawyer Sidney Powell and her client, and Flynn at the Oval Office. A source described the session as an impromptu gathering before it broke out into screaming matches at certain points as some of Trump’s aides pushed back on Powell and Flynn’s outrageous suggestions about overturning the election.

Trump has made a tweet, denying claims that he even entertained the idea. “Martial law = Fake News. Just more knowingly bad reporting!” He tweeted. Trump later added, ”GREATEST ELECTION FRAUD IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY!!!”

Meanwhile, his former attorney Rudy Giuliani tweeted this Monday morning: “Let’s find out,once and for all, did Biden cheat to become President like he cheated to get through law school? UPDATE: Chicago Mayor Apologizes to Woman Whose Home Was Wrongfully Raided by CPD: “I Am Sorry”

Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago has apologized to a social worker who was handcuffed while naked after police officers burst into her home during a botched raid last year.

As we previously reported, officers broke down the door to Anjanette Young’s apartment on Feb. 21, 2019, as she was getting ready for bed. Not only did they force her to stand naked for more than 40 minutes even as she told them that they had the wrong home, but they also placed her in cuffs until they realized she was not a threat because they had the wrong person. The officers were looking for a 23-year-old suspect who allegedly had a gun, but they didn’t verify the address before conducting the search warrant. That suspect lived in the unit next door to Young. It was also noted that the suspect had an electronic monitoring bracelet on and would’ve been easy to trace.

Young recently obtained the footage after a court forced CPD to turn it over as part of her lawsuit against the police. Nearly two years after the big incident — which the city tried to hide from the public — Mayor Lightfoot is now offering an apology to the victim: “As a human being, as a black woman and as a parent – yes, I am mayor – but absent that reality, I could have easily been Miss Young and I could put myself in her place…all of that is horrifying to me.” She went on to say:

“Miss Young’s dignity that she and all of us deserve was taken from her in those moments. Her obvious trauma and distress were real, profound, and resonate deeply with me,” Lightfoot said Wednesday. “We should all be shaken by what she was forced to experience through no fault of her own… Miss Young, knowing that my words will not change what happened to you and your family almost two years ago, I nonetheless say to you I am sorry.”

Young’s attorney, Keenan Saulter, said that what happened to Young would not have happened were she White and living in the well-to-do neighborhood of Lincoln Park. Young on Wednesday morning filed a lawsuit over the city’s denial of her Freedom of Information Act request seeking footage of the home invasion. Saulter said he plans to file another lawsuit soon over the actions taken by CPD officers in 2019.

As we previously reported, Johnson was placed in a medically induced coma after the big incident. Thankfully he made it through and has already made tremendous progress in his recovery.

The cause of the 21-year-old’s collapse is still not clear, and it’s unknown if it was due to COVID-19.

Rowdy Rebel Released From Prison

Bobby Shmurda collaborator and New York native Rowdy Rebel was released from prison this Tuesday after completing his sentence.

Rebel and Shmurda were among their GS9 affiliates who were arrested back in 2014 by New York Police department officers. Rebel was charged with conspiracy, attempted murder, attempted assault, reckless endangerment drugs and criminal weapons possession. Back in September 2016, the two pleaded guilty to conspiracy and weapons possession as part of a deal with prosecutors.

They were sentenced to seven years and received credit for two years, with eligibility for release this year, according Rap-Up. The remainder of Rebel‘s sentence will take place under community supervision.

People on Twitter—including Chance the Rapper have been celebrating Rowdy’s release. Many are now also calling to free rapper Shmurda. Check out Rebel’s first day out video:

Florida Gators Keyontae Johnson In “Critical But Stable” Condition After Collapsing During Game

Sports fans are currently sending prayers to Florida Gators forward Keyontae Johnson who collapsed during the Florida-Florida State basketball game on Saturday afternoon shortly after a timeout.

According to ESPN, Johnson had just finished an alley-oop dunk when Florida State called a quick timeout. Moments later, Johnson fell to the floor. The Southeastern Conference’s preseason player of the year, was taken off the floor on a stretcher and hospitalized shortly after. It was noted by TMZ that Johnson had tested positive for COVID this past summer. It appears one of the side effects was myocarditis … inflammation of the heart muscle. As of Sunday, Johnson remained in “critical but stable condition,” his team said.

“We appreciate all the medical personnel who have helped Keyontae,” Scott Stricklin, the Florida athletic director, said in a statement Sunday. “Keyontae received terrific care on site by the FSU Staff and at Tallahassee Memorial, which has worked in consultation with UF Health. We’re glad his parents can be by his side, and they all feel the support of Gator Nation,” ESPN quotes.

The 6-foot-5 junior from Norfolk, Virginia, averaged a team-high 14 points last season to go along with 7.1 rebounds. He also led the Gators with 38 steals, NBC News notes.

After she was given the shot by Northwell Health director of employee health services Michelle Chester, Lindsay said, “It didn’t feel any different from taking any other vaccine.”

Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine Rolled Out In All 50 States!

The first vials of the coronavirus vaccine were shipped Sunday and arrived Monday in 50 states, marking the beginning of a massive effort to stop the rampant spread of the novel coronavirus, which has so far killed more than 298,000 Americans.

As we previously reported, Pfizer was authorized for emergency use in the US by the Food and Drug Administration on Friday night, setting in motion the largest vaccination effort in American history. According to The New York Post, shipments of the vaccine will be arriving in 145 distribution centers today.

Federal officials said that 425 additional sites will be getting shipments Tuesday, and the remaining 66 on Wednesday. President Donald Trump took to Twitter this Monday morning to react to the good news. He said: ”First Vaccine Administered. Congratulations USA! Congratulations WORLD!”

While first responders and the elderly are expected to be one of the first people to receive the vaccine, there was also some talk that employees in the White House should also get it first. However, Trump tweeted Sunday,

“People working in the White House should receive the vaccine somewhat later in the program, unless specifically necessary. I have asked that this adjustment be made. I am not scheduled to take the vaccine, but look forward to doing so at the appropriate time. Thank you!”

Nevada Hospital Treats COVID-19 Patients In Parking Garage As Cases Continue To Spike

As hospitalizations soar in Nevada, the state has resorted to treating coronavirus patients in a hospital parking garage!

Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno already converted two floors of its parking garage into an alternative care site in early November to handle an overflow of COVID-19 patients if necessary. The Silver State reported a 14-day positivity rate of 21.2 percent on Monday — the highest since the pandemic began. “Our frontline caregivers are seeing things that they never would have imagined,” Tony Slonim, the president and CEO of Renown Health, told CBS News.

“I feel so privileged to be the first person vaccinated against COVID-19,” said Keenan, who received the shot at 6:30 a.m. U.K. time. “It’s the best early birthday present I could wish for because it means I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the new year after being on my own for most of the year,” NPR quotes. As we previously reported, England was the first Western country to approve Pfizer’s vaccine for emergency use. The U.S. is expected to grant their approval to the Pfizer vaccine in the coming days.

British health officials marked Tuesday as a turning point in the country’s battle with the virus, which has infected more than 67 million people around the world and has killed more than 1.5 million people, Johns Hopkins University data shows. Just alone, the U.K. has more than 1.7 million confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Mexico’s president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador is urging his citizens to cancel Christmas celebrations this year, as the number of daily new coronavirus cases hit a record-high in the country and is expected to go up!

In total, Mexico has recorded just over 1.15 million COVID-19 cases. Officials acknowledge the true extent of the pandemic is likely significantly higher due to limited testing. Meanwhile, the World Health Organization warned the country was in “bad shape”.

Angel Urena told the outlet: “President Clinton will definitely take a vaccine as soon as available to him, based on the priorities determined by public health officials. Freddy Ford, Bush’s chief of staff, told CNN that the 43rd President had reached out to Dr. Anthony Fauci — the nation’s top infectious disease expert and Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House coronavirus response coordinator, to see how he could help promote the vaccine. Ford said, “A few weeks ago President Bush asked me to let Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx know that, when the time is right, he wants to do what he can to help encourage his fellow citizens to get vaccinated,” Ford told CNN. “First, the vaccines need to be deemed safe and administered to the priority populations. Then, President Bush will get in line for his, and will gladly do so on camera.”

UK Becomes First Country To Approve Pfizer’s Covid-19 Vaccine — First Shots Will Roll Out Next Week

On Wednesday, the U.K. became the first country to authorize the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for emergency use, marking another step in the global battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

According to CNBC, the vaccine will begin to roll out in the country next week. Elderly people in care homes along with medical workers will be the first to receive a dose. This move makes the U.K. government the first in the world to formally approve the U.S.-German vaccine for widespread use, and it means Britain will be one of the first countries to begin vaccinating its population.

“The government has today accepted the recommendation from the Independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to approve Pfizer-BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine for use,” the government said Wednesday. “The vaccine will be made available across the U.K. from next week.” Meanwhile, Pfizer’s Chairman and CEO, Dr. Albert Bourla, marked the news as a “historic moment,” the news site quotes.

“This authorization is a goal we have been working toward since we first declared that science will win, and we applaud the MHRA for their ability to conduct a careful assessment and take timely action to help protect the people of the U.K.,” he said. “With thousands of people becoming infected, every day matters in the collective race to end this devastating pandemic.”

Mother Of Black Teen Killed By Florida Deputy Is Shot During Son’ Burial

A day meant for people to come out and pay their respects to a Florida teen who was fatally shot by a Brevard County sheriff’s deputy this month turned into yet another horrific event.

The burial service for Sincere Pierce ended abruptly Saturday afternoon when the teenager’s mother, Quasheda Pierce was struck by a bullet. The gunfire came as the pastor finished his prayers at Riverview Memorial Gardens and Pierce’s friends and loved ones placed flowers on his casket and suddenly a loud pop was heard. Investigators said they think Pierce, 39, was shot when a gun that a 16-year-old had with him accidentally went off. The mother was taken to a hospital, but the severity of her injury was not immediately known.

As WESH2 notes, the sheriff’s office says the teen is not facing charges, though, they are still investigating and said they will let the state attorney decide if charges should be filed.

Sincere Pierce, 18 and 16-year-old Angelo Crooms were killed when a Brevard County deputy opened fire on a car in Cocoa. The sheriff’s office has said the deputy feared the driver was trying to run him over. As of right now, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the deadly shooting.

“When I saw Jaymes take a knee I was so excited I just started hysterically screaming because I didn’t know how to express myself properly,” Bennett, 39, told the outlet. “There was a moment when you feel like ‘Oh, this is forever, I understand it.’ I screamed ‘Yes’ immediately. Actually it was, ‘Yes! Of course!'”

To make the moment more special, Vaughan wrote a song for the occasion and performed it for Bennett before his proposal:

“I looked over and saw Jaymes holding a sign that said ‘We never did find our song, so I wrote it for you.’ That’s when I knew was getting proposed to because it was the same type of sign he made when he told me he loved me for the first time,” Bennett told People. “And then I began to ugly-cry the ugliest cry anyone has ever cried.”

He added, “Between the song and the ring it’s very reassuring because there’s no doubt what my future is going to be. When I look down at the ring, the words of the song become reality. Jaymes told that outlet that “I’ve been dreaming about proposing to Jonathan for a long time, I wanted to make sure somebody was capturing it all so I could see his face in that moment over and over again.”

Elizabeth Alexander, a senior adviser to the Biden-Harris campaign, will be first lady Jill Biden’s communication director. Karine Jean Pierre, will have the role as deputy press secretary. Pili Tobar, a Biden-Harris campaign director and former deputy director at America’s Voice, a nonprofit that advocated for immigration reform, will be deputy White House communications director. The team will be led by Kate Bedingfield, former deputy campaign communications director for Mr Biden.

Rapper Mulatto Hints At A Possible Name Change Following Backlash

Mulatto has been making a bunch of headlines over her great music and freestyles but the rising star has also been the trending topic on Twitter several times over her stage name and past remarks.

As HotNewHipHop points out, Mulatto was recently dragged for identifying as Black on social media, despite saying she doesn’t like to call herself Black or White in an old interview. At the time, she said she actually preferred the term she uses as her stage name. While she has stood behind her decision to be identified as Miss Mulatto, she‘s now considering a possible name change.

In a new interview with HipHopDX, she hinted at the possibility of changing her controversial stage name from Mulatto to her alternate-nickname Big Latto: “I can’t say too much because we’re working on something right now, but I would be lying to say it hasn’t crossed my mind before,” Mulatto told DX. “It is a controversy that I hear and see every day as far as my name goes, so I would be lying to say no I never thought of that. But I can’t say too much because right now, because it’s going to be a part of something bigger,” she told the outlet.

The 21-year-old who appeared on Jermaine Dupri‘s Lifetime show, The Rap Game, but turned down the SoSo Def chain in 2016, explained the meaning behind her name:

“I’m passionate about my race,” she said, 15 years old at the time. “I’m Miss Mulatto. The term mulatto technically is a racist slur. It means someone that’s half black and half white. So it’s, like, controversial. I took that negativity from the word mulatto and now…everybody calls me Miss Mulatto. Why do I have to choose one or the other? I’m both. That’s what I want to go by.”

Jake Paul Reveals He Broke His Nose Days Before Nate Robinson Fight

As we previously reported, YouTuber Jake Paul took the second win of his boxing career Saturday night, knocking out former NBA player Nate Robinson in the second round at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

While Paul has been boxing for some time now, he revealed that he stepped into the ring with a broken nose. In a post-fight interview, the 23-year-old explained that he injured himself while he was meditating a couple of weeks. He broke his nose after he passed out and fell face-first onto a concrete floor, International Business Times reports. “Just four weeks ago, I was meditating and fell flat on my face, broke my nose. And were not able to spar until a couple of days ago. So I had to come into this fight with a broken nose,” Paul said.

He even shared the news on Instagram saying,
“Broke my nose on the day of the press conference… 20 days before the fight… I couldn’t train… Boxing documentary coming 🔜”

Joe Biden Fractures Foot While Playing With His Dog — Will Possibly Need To Wear A Boot

Over the weekend, President-elect Joe Biden fractured his foot while playing with one of his dogs. His doctor shared the news on Sunday and said he will need to wear a walking boot for several weeks as a result.

The 78-year-old slipped while playing with his German Shepherd, Major, on Saturday. After the fall, he visited an orthopedist in Delaware for an examination on Sunday afternoon. According to a statement from his doctor Kevin O’Connor, a CT scan “confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot.”

The New York Post notes that Biden could even be seen limping as he left the doctor’s office to head to an imaging center for the CT scan, though he walked without a crutch or other help. “It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks,” O’Connor said. Meanwhile, Trump, who has yet to concede, reacted to the news and tweeted Sunday, “Get well soon!”

Los Angeles Man Dies After Being Struck By 3 Separate Hit-And-Run Drivers While Crossing Street

A man’s life was sadly cut short after he was struck by three separate hit-and-run drivers who all fled the scene after colliding with him while he was crossing a street. Now police are appealing to the public for help in finding the perpetrators.

According to ABC News, the incident occurred at approximately 7:39 p.m. in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Florence. 50-year-old Jose Fuentes was crossing a street when a motorcycle traveling northbound collided with him, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. LAPD released video showing Fuentes lying on the ground after being struck by the motorcycle as it sped away. Just seconds later, Fuentes was then hit by a white sedan which also fled the scene after the collision, according to ABC News’ Los Angeles station KABC.

Fuentes was subsequently hit a third time following the motorcycle and the white sedan. Police did not release any information on that vehicle or a possible description of the fleeing suspect. However, they noted that not one of the three vehicles stopped after striking Fuentes.

“Nobody stopped and helped out Mr. Fuentes as he lied there,” said LAPD Detective Ryan Moreno is a statement in front of the press. “The guy on the motorcycle, he kind of went out onto the street, maybe [he could have] stopped to block traffic and prevented even the second or third collision from happening. But he elected to get on his motorcycle and took off and left and fled the scene,” the news site quotes.

Authorities are now looking for all three suspect. While they don’t have specific description details on them, they were only able to say that they are looking for a dark colored sports bike being driven by a man as well as a white colored sedan.

Whew, Donald Trump is shaking the table! The President took questions from reporters on Thursday and lashed out at one who questioned his claims about voter fraud.

While being challenged by a reporter over his team’s inability to provide actual evidence for his nonsensical claims, Trump decided to go all the way off: “Don’t talk to me that way,” he snapped at Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason. “You’re just a lightweight. Don’t talk to me that way. I’m the President of the United States. Don’t ever talk to the President that way.”

Trump was then asked whether he would concede. Instead of directly answering the question, Trump said it “would be a mistake” for officials of the country’s electoral college system to formally elect Joe Biden as the next president in December. The current President even said he would leave the White House if that happens, but would not say if he will attend Biden’s inauguration which is customary for outgoing presidents.

“This has a long way to go,” Trump said during the press conference, despite the fact that President-elect Joe Biden was declared the winner weeks ago. “This election was a fraud. It was a rigged election.”

President Donald Trump urged Americans to “gather” together this Thanksgiving despite the recent spike in COVID-19 cases and new lockdown measures. In his Thanksgiving proclamation, he encouraged Americans to gather and give thanks: “I encourage all Americans to gather, in homes and places of worship, to offer a prayer of thanks to God for our many blessings,” he said in a statement, according to The Daily Mail.

President-elect Joe Biden has advised people to stay home, acknowledging the sacrifice and pain of not being able to be with one’s family. ‘This year, we’re asking Americans to forego many of the traditions that have long made this holiday such a special one,’ Biden said in his remarks. ‘For our family, we’ve had a 40 plus year tradition of traveling over Thanksgiving, a tradition we’ve kept every year save one – the year after our son Beau died. But this year, we’ll be staying home,’ Biden said.

Scotland Becomes The World’s First Country To Make Pads And Tampons Free

#Socialites, get into this! Scotland has become the world’s first country to make menstrual products free!

Scotland will now be providing free and universal access to sanitary products for women of all age groups, after the Scottish Parliament unanimously passed legislation on Tuesday. As The Guardian reports, Under the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act, the Scottish government will be required to set up a nationwide program to allow anyone who needs period products to get them free of charge.

Further, it will also require schools, colleges, and universities to make a range of menstrual products available for free. Per CNN, the bill’s financial memorandum estimates it could cost around 8.7 million a year by 2022, depending on the number of women who will take advantage of the free products.

As CBS News notes, the bill was first introduced by Member of the Scottish Parliament Monica Lennon in April 2019. After the bill passed on Tuesday, she tweeted that it was “about bloody time.”

Obama, who has topped the public list of Best Presidents who have done the best job during their term, was asked how he takes it when people question what he’s done for minorities, especially Black people — or say he didn’t do enough.

While responding to DJ Envy’s question, Obama explained that he understands their sentiments: “I understand it because when I got elected, there was so much excitement and hope… And I also think we generally viewed the presidency as almost like a monarchy.In the sense of, ‘once the President is there he can just do whatever he needs to get done and if he’s not doing it then it must be because he didn’t want to do.‘”

From there, he pointed out that the current President, Donald Trump “breaks the law” which is why it may seem like he’s able to do what he wants. But Obama said he was very confident in what he had done for “Black folks” during his time in office “because I had the statistics to prove it!”

New York City’s First And Only Black Mayor, David Dinkins, Dies At Age 93

David Dinkins, New York City’s first Black mayor has passed away at the age of 93. Dinkins died Monday evening at his residence on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) told multiple news outlets.

According to the department, they received a call from Dinkins’ residence regarding an unconscious person having difficulty breathing. Mayor Bill de Blasio also confirmed Dinkins’s death to The New York Times.

Dinkins, born in 1927 in Trenton, New Jersey, and graduated from Howard University — served as the 106th mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993, according to his bio on the city’s website. The Democrat ran against Republican Rudy Giuliani in 1989 and defeated him. They were matched against each other again in 1993 – but that time, Giuliani won. He also just released a statement on Dinkins’ passing, saying:

“I extend my deepest condolences to the family of Mayor David Dinkins, and to the many New Yorkers who loved and supported him. He gave a great deal of his life in service to our great City. That service is respected and honored by all.”

The passing of the former mayor comes less than two months after the death of his wife Joyce Dinkins, who died in October.

Snapchat To Pay Users $1M A Day To Create Viral Hits With New Feature, “Spotlight”

Looks like Snapchat is stepping things up! Just weeks after Instagram released “Reels” which is a mimic of TikTok, Snap Inc. has decided to roll out a similar feature called “Spotlight,” which will promote individual posts the company deems the most “entertaining.”

The company will begin to show the top snaps that have been submitted for consideration by their 249 million + daily users in a feed that they can swipe or tap through. Like Tiktok and Reels, it will play in a continuous loop until users swipe to the next one. Snap will motivate users to submit clips for Spotlight consideration by offering a daily pool of more than $1 million to users who create entertaining snaps! According to CNBC, the company will use a proprietary equation to determine payout based on how many views a snap gets.

“Spotlight for the opportunity to earn a share of more than $1 million that we’re distributing to creators every day,” a blog post from Snap Inc. reads. “We designed Spotlight to entertain our community while living up to Snapchat values, with our community’s wellbeing as a top priority. Spotlight content is moderated and doesn’t allow for public comments.”

Users have to be 16 or older to earn a payout. As the news site notes, the company will offer daily payouts through at least the end of 2020, a spokesman for the company told CNBC.

As we previously reported, Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old from Illinois who is charged with killing two people during a protest in Wisconsin, posted $2 million bail on Friday and was released from custody. While the news shocked many, social media users are now even more outraged after learning that actor Ricky Schroder helped him out!

Rittenhouse, from Illinois, was arrested and charged with the murders of two people during August demonstrations that erupted in Kenosha after police shot Jacob Blake seven times in the back. Rittenhouse, claims he was attacked while he was guarding a business and that he fired in “self-defense.” Meanwhile, he faces multiple charges, including intentional homicide, reckless endangerment and being a minor in possession of a firearm. Wisconsin law doesn’t permit minors to carry or possess a gun unless they’re hunting. He is due back in court on Dec. 3 for a preliminary hearing.
