UPDATE: Rapper French Montana Slapped With Sexual Battery Lawsuit Papers

French Montana is back in the headlines and not because of his recent comments about having more hits than Kendrick Lamar. Instead, it’s because there are new updates in the latest lawsuit against him.

According to The Blast, the suit filed by a woman under the pseudonym Jane Doe is moving forward as he was officially served with legal docs in the case accusing him of sexual battery.

As we previously reported last month, Doe filed the lawsuit against the rapper, (real name: Karim Kharbouch), his employee Mansour Bennouna, and his label Coke Boy Records, claiming she was drugged and sexually assaulted while at his home back in 2018.

The alleged victim explained that she was invited by the rapper to his home after they met at a recording studio back in March. She alleges that after 6 a.m., she was told to take a shot by French Montana and Bennouna. She alleged in the suit that she completely blacked out shortly after taking the drink. She said she remembered: “several men coming in and out of the bedroom” and claimed that she also remembered the rapper as one of those men.

The Blast managed to obtain, where the woman also alleged that she eventually “regained consciousness” around 1:30 p.m. with Bennouna “spooning” her. She claims that she “felt a pain in her pelvis, lower back and vagina.” Once she left French’s home, she says went to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center where she allegedly had a rape kit administered. The news site notes that the investigation reportedly showed the presence of semen. From there, she then reported the rape to the police, accusing French Montana of sexually assaulting her.

According to the news site, Doe is now seeking damages for the “extreme emotional distress, anxiety, flashbacks and depression” she experiences. The alleged victim also notes that she was just starting her career as a model and actress but due to this alleged incident, it has put everything on pause.

French did not publicly comment on this suit when the news first broke out and is unclear if he will release a statement on these latest updates.

Future’s Alleged Baby Mama Eliza Reign Scores Big Victory After Judge Tosses His Defamation Case

Future’s alleged baby mama Eliza Reign has one less thing to worry about now that a judge has tossed out the rapper’s defamation case against her.

According to BOSSIP, on April 21, a federal ruled to dismiss the rapper’s bid to force Eliza to pay him money damages in his defamation case. As we previously reported, Future claimed that she portrayed him in a false light to the public and says it caused emotional distress, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP.

However, Judge Cecilia Altonaga also decided to toss Future’s legal claims that he needed an immediate injunction to stop her from speaking about him.

Now, despite that, BOSSIP reports that the judge upheld Future’s allegations of libel, invasion of privacy and that she used the star to make a name for herself. Therefore, Reign will have to continue to defend herself from those claims in court, the ruling says.

Future‘s filed the defamation suit in the midst of their big paternity case. Reign eventually fired back, saying that Future’s defamation suit was just an attempt to “intimidate, harass, and financially drain” her so that she’ll accept a poor child support settlement in her separate paternity case against him over her 1-year-old daughter.

The news site notes that if he wants the judge to reconsider, Future will now have to file an amended legal complaint as soon as possible.

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio Said The City Will Hold Its Macy’s July 4th Celebration

On Wednesday, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio shared that the city’s annual Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks show “will go on.”

The change comes just a day after suggesting that the big event in New York Harbor may not happen because of the coronavirus crisis. He explained in a video message posted on Twitter:

“There’s a lot of things we’re going to have to work through, but what we know for sure is this wonderful show will go on.”

While speaking about the televised show which he labeled, “one of the greatest events each year in this city,” De Blasio said he also spoke with Macy’s CEO Jeffrey Gennette and discussed “what we should do in this circumstance.”

“We know the situation is unclear, we don’t know what things are going to be like in July. We know there’s a lot of questions, a lot of things that will have to be determined between now and then,” De Blasio said. He added, “But one thing we know for sure. We will celebrate the Fourth of July in New York City this year. We will find a way to put on a show that will show people how much we love our country, how much we want to celebrate everything great about this city and this nation.”

Before concluding the Mayor said,

“No matter what the coronavirus throws at us, we’re going to find a way to honor America on that beautiful day.”

This now gives New Yorkers something to look forward to since the mayor has already canceled all city-permitted parades and events for the months of May and June.

Nigerian Woman Gives Birth At Age 68 To Twins After Four IVF Attempts

A dream come true! A couple who went through several attempts to have a little one of their own finally got what they wanted!

Margaret Adenuga, 68, and husband Noah Adenuga, 77 of Nigeria told CNN that they long desired to have a child of their own. The couple who married in 1974 tried many times and even previously went through three IVF procedures before finally having twins.

Adenuga told the news site that they never gave up even after the failed attempts. “I am a dreamer, and I was convinced this particular dream of ours will come to pass, the retired stock auditor told CNN.

Margaret and Noah welcomed their babies last Tuesday. They were delivered via caesarian section at 37 weeks at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) but the hospital only recently made the news public to give the first-time mother time to recuperate, according to the site.

To ensure a safe delivery, Dr. Adeyemi Okunowo, who delivered the babies, told CNN a specialist team was assembled at the hospital to monitor the pregnancy, specifically because of Margaret’s age.

“As an elderly woman and a first-time mother, it was a high-risk pregnancy and also because she was going to have twins but we were able to manage her pregnancy to term.” Okunowo went on to explain, “There are age-related medical complications that come with being pregnant at that age such as the baby being born preterm. She’s lucky but many may succumb to other complications during or after having a baby,” he told CNN.

3.7 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Los Angeles During Coronavirus Lockdown

Just after midnight local time on Wednesday morning, folks in Los Angeles were rattled by an earthquake!

It hit at around 12:03 AM, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Apparently, the quake struck View Park-Windsor Hills area of the Californian city, which is around nine miles south of Hollywood. It was said that it had a depth of 7.4 miles. Los Angeles International Airport even tweeted that the earthquake had been felt but reported no damage.

Meanwhile, the earthquake quickly became the trending topic on Twitter in the U.S. with Chrissy Teigen among the first to tweet about the ground moving. Other celebs including Cardi B, YouTuber James Charles even tweeted about it. L.A. Lakers player Alex Caruso tweeted: “That was the biggest earthquake I’ve experienced since I’ve lived in LA sheesh.”

While quakes are normal in Los Angeles, it comes at a scary time when people are sheltered in while trying to social-distance to help stop the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Covid-19 has infected more than 2.5 million people and killed at least 177,000 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. Despite that, some states in the country are planning to reopen back up.

Broadway star Nick Cordero is currently recovering after having his right leg amputated following complications with coronavirus, according to his wife.

Amanda Kloots has been keeping Nick’s fans informed by sharing updates on his health on her Instagram. The Tony Award-nominated star has been battling coronavirus for more than two weeks. Saturday was day 18 of him being sedated in the intensive care unit.

While being hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, his wife recently shared another update on Nick’s health: “They had him on blood thinners for the clotting, unfortunately, the blood thinners were causing other issues,” she said Saturday. “The right leg will be amputated today.”

She added,

“he made it through the surgery, which is really big because obviously, his body is pretty weak,” Kloots said. “Hopefully he’ll just kind of relax and rest.”

The couple’s good friends have started a GoFundMe campaign to help them pay for hospital bills and make their home wheel-chair accessible, Kloots said.

Meanwhile, fans and close celebrity friends have been offering their prayers out to Nick. Some have even sent him sweet message and encouraging words to help him fight through this terrible virus.

Two Chinese Doctors Suffering From COVID-19 Wake Up With Darkened Skin

Two Wuhan doctors who were critically ill with coronavirus woke up to find that their skin had turned dark after the virus damaged their liver.

According to The Daily Mail, Dr. Yi Fan and Dr. Hu Weifeng, both 42, were infected with the coronavirus while treating patients at a hospital in the epicenter city of Wuhan. They were officially diagnosed with COVID-19 on Jan. 18 and became very ill over time. The two were hooked up to an ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) a life support machine for weeks. Fortunately, they eventually gained consciousness but they noticed that their skin turned very dark after being placed on life support.

Apparently, the two men’s skin color change was attributed to a hormonal imbalance after their livers were damaged by the virus, according to The Daily Mail citing Chinese media. Dr. Hu’s physician, Dr. Li Shusheng said their normal color is expected to return when their liver functions improve.

As the news site notes, ECMO is a drastic life-support procedure which replaces the function of the heart and lungs by pumping oxygen into the blood outside the body.

Dr. Yi spoke with CCTV from his hospital bed and said, “When I first gained consciousness, especially after I got to know about my condition, I felt scared. I had nightmares often,” Meanwhile, Hu, a urologist, is still very weak after undergoing ECMO therapy from Feb. 7 to March 22, according to his physician, Dr. Li.

As the New York Post notes, both men are receiving mental health support as a result of their traumatic experiences.

Georgia Woman Gets Discharged From Hospital After Beating COVID-19 And Will Be Able To Celebrate Her 100th Birthday!

Here’s some great news to kick off your Tuesday! A Georgia woman named Maude Burke was recently released from the hospital after a 17 day battle with coronavirus. According to Fox 47, the 99-year-old was the oldest COVID-19 patient to be discharged from Phoebe Putney Health System in Albany, Georgia.

A video shared by local news outlets showed medical workers lined up against the halls of the hospital in Albany to cheer on Maude Burke as she left the facility following treatment.

“Her strength and determination are amazing, and we wish her well as she continues to recover,” Phoebe Putney Health System wrote on Facebook. “Thank you for being an inspiration, Ms. Maude!” Burke will now be able to celebrate her special birthday very soon, happy and healthy.

This comes shortly after a 101-year-old Italian man was released from the hospital last month after recovering from the novel coronavirus. The man, who has been named only as “Mr P,” was born in 1919, during the Spanish flu pandemic, which is estimated to have killed between 30 million and 50 million people worldwide.

“Mr. P made it,” Gloria Lisi, the deputy mayor of the Italian city of Rimini, said at the time. “To teach us that even at 101 years the future is not written,” she added.

Mayor Bill De Blasio Cancels NYC Parades And Other City-Permitted Events Through June

On Monday, Mayor Bill De Blasio announced that the city is extending its cancellation of permitted nonessential events through June as officials continue to work towards slowing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

During the news conference, De Blasio explained that the move will apply to parades, concerts, rallies, and other large gatherings. He noted that the big LGBT Pride, Puerto Rican Day and Salute to Israel parades, which brings out thousands each year would be impacted by the decision. 

He explained, “The bottom line is to think about safety, to think about saving lives, protecting people’s health, speeding us to that day when we get more normal,” de Blasio said. “This is the right thing to do.”

Although many may be disappointed that these events have canceled, De Blasio added that many of the event organizers are already developing plans to hold the festivities later in the year.

“We’re going to miss them, but they will be back, and we will find the right way to do it,” de Blasio said. 

As we previously reported, the New York metropolitan area has become the epicenter of the U.S. coronavirus outbreak. The health department had reported nearly 130,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New York City. There are roughly 8,800 confirmed deaths as of Monday morning.

5-Year-Old Daughter Of Two Detroit Emergency Responders Dies After Contracting Coronavirus

The family of Skylar Herbert is mourning the loss of their beloved 5-year-old daughter who sadly lost her fight to coronavirus.

While speaking with The Detroit News, Skylar’s mother LaVondria Herbert shared that her daughter had complained of a very bad headache a month ago. She eventually tested positive for COVID-19 in March and later developed a rare form of meningitis and brain swelling. LaVondria said Skylar’s improvement had stopped, and that doctors said she was possibly brain dead.

After spending two weeks on a ventilator, Skylar Herbert of Detroit died Sunday. 
“We basically just knew she wasn’t coming back to us,” said the mother, The Detroit News reports. 

The family noted that her first symptoms didn’t indicate coronavirus. LaVondria explained that when she brought Skylar to the pediatrician on March 23 for her headache that just wouldn’t go away with pain medication — she eventually tested positive for strep throat. Her doctor gave her antibiotics and sent the child home to rest. 

But, because “she had been crying all night and saying the headache would not go away,” they “called the doctor back, and they told us that it takes the medication 48 hours to kick in and to give it some time, but because she was crying so bad, I told my husband we needed to take her to emergency because I just didn’t know.”

From there, they took her to Beaumont Royal Oak, and the doctors tested her for COVID-19, which came back positive the next day. They said her headache and mild fever were actually side effects of the virus. Shockingly, a day later the little girl was released, but the family returned to the hospital six hours later because her husband had also started experiencing symptoms.

However, while waiting in the car, Skylar began complaining about her “head hurting again and then she just threw up,” the news site notes. After taking her temperature — around 100 degrees — her mom held her in blankets because she was shivering. Skylar then had a seizure.

“(I told her) Skylar, look at your daddy, Skylar, look at your daddy,” Herbert said. “She came out of the seizure and me and her mother ran back into the emergency room,” Detroit News quotes.

Skylar was transferred back to the Royal Oak campus and admitted to the pediatric ICU for sedation and a series of tests, including a lumbar puncture. That’s when the family learned of the meningitis.

Sadly, little Skylar didn’t make it as she passed away on Sunday.

The news site says her parents do not know how Skylar contracted the virus and that she had no other health issues.

Both parents work in public safety: Ebbie has been a Detroit Firefighter for 18 years, LaVondria a Detroit Police Officer for 25 years. The daughter or the two first responders is believed to be the first child infected with the coronavirus to die in Michigan, The Daily Mail reports.

Neiman Marcus Reportedly Plans To File For Bankruptcy

Neiman Marcus Group is gearing up to file for bankruptcy.

According to The Daily Mail, the US retail giant is reportedly ready to file bankruptcy amid the COVD-19 pandemic after defaulting millions in bond payments last week and furloughing 14,000 employees.  As Reuters reports, the company had a number of options after the virus spurred lockdowns that shuttered non-essential businesses, including all 43 of their stores.

Apparently, the company is around $5billion in debt and is reportedly in the final stages of brokering a deal with its creditors, which could help keep some operations going during bankruptcy proceedings. A source told Reuters that the official bankrupt filing could happen in a matter of days.

If the clothing company decides to make this move, it would become the first major US department store to do so amidst the economic set backs from the coronavirus outbreak. 

As many people are probably aware, a pandemic is a bad time to have a lot of debt, especially for businesses. As cash flow halts or stops completely, department store chains could eventually disappear. JCPenney also has debt around $4.2 billion and said it wasn’t going to make an interest payment last week.

Other retailers including Macy’s are negotiating to delay due dates for payments. Meanwhile Walmart, Target, and Costco are among the companies still paying vendors, according to Newser.com.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Personally Deliver Meals To L.A. Residents In Need

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are helping out! The beloved couple took the L.A. streets on Wednesday to help their new community during the coronavirus crisis.

As we previously reported, the royal family moved from Canada to L.A. last month with their son Archie. Instead of sitting around, they decided to take action and help distribute meals for Project Angel Food, a non-profit charity that cooks, prepares and delivers meals to people living with critical illnesses who are also at greater risk during this pandemic, according to PEOPLE.

A video obtained by TMZ shows Harry and Meghan walking around in caps, face coverings, and gloves while dropping off meals to different low-income housing units. Richard Ayoub, Project Angel Food’s executive director, told PEOPLE:

“They actually did two deliveries for us — one on Easter Sunday and one on Wednesday — and they’ve done it quietly. We’re completely honored.”

Ayoub went on to say,

“They were extremely down to earth and genuinely interested in every single person they met. “They engaged with our chefs, they engaged with clients — they just wanted to make sure that people felt the love and appreciation. Their goal was really to just honor our chefs and staff and volunteers by being of service.”

“What Meghan said is she wanted to show Harry Los Angeles through the eyes of philanthropy. It’s just beautiful,” he adds. “There’s obviously a great deal of love and selflessness between them. They both are individuals who want to know about others. Our clients are clients who are often forgotten. They really wanted to go visit these people. They wanted to see them and talk to them and hopefully put a smile on their faces,” The Magazine quotes.

UPDATE: Governor Andrew Cuomo Extends New York Lockdown Until May 15

On Thursday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said he’s extending the shutdown of nonessential businesses to May 15. Cuomo announced the news at a press conference in Albany and on Twitter, saying “New York on PAUSE” will be extended in coordination with other states.

The lockdown was previously scheduled to lift on April 30. However, Cuomo explained that,
“We have to continue doing what we’re doing. I’d like to see that infection rate get down even more. The New York Pause policies, the close-down policies, will be extended in coordination with other states to May 15,” Cuomo said.

He also expanded his latest order that New Yorkers carry face coverings when they are in public:

“You MUST wear a face covering or mask:

-On public transportation
-In for-hire vehicles

If you are a bus/train operator or a driver of a for-hire vehicle, you must also wear a face covering or mask. These rules go into effect on Friday at 8 PM.“

According to the latest updates by The New York Times, there have been 606 deaths in New York State, the fewest in 10 days, for a total of 12,192.

Governor Andrew Cuomo Orders All New Yorkers To Wear Masks In Public

During a press conference earlier this Wednesday, Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a new executive order directing all New Yorkers to wear masks or face coverings while in public.

Cuomo also took Twitter to share the news. He tweeted,

“‪#BREAKING: I am issuing an Executive Order today that all people MUST wear a mask or face-covering in public in situations where social distancing is not possible.” He added in another tweet, “‬For example, if you are riding on public transit where it is impossible to maintain social distancing, or walking on a busy sidewalk, you must wear a face covering like a bandana or a mask.”

During the conference, he noted that although new infections are “down to a manageable level,” the coronavirus remains a “serious public health issue” in his state. According to NBC News affiliate WGRZ, the executive order was signed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday. It goes into effect Wednesday at 8 p.m. 

NBC reported that New York state added another 752 overnight, bringing its official toll above 11,500 as of Wednesday. Despite that, there were more signs of improvement as total hospitalizations showed a net decrease for the second consecutive day. It was also pointed out that the net intubations were down. Cuomo says 80 percent of people on ventilators never come off them.

“We are not out of the woods yet,” the governor said Wednesday. “Coronavirus is still a monumental public health crisis and we are losing New Yorkers every day to this virus. Each New Yorker lost to COVID is a heartbreaking loss.”

#Socialites, get into this! The delivery of stimulus checks meant to boost the economy in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic may be a little delayed thanks to President Donald Trump. According to the Washington Post, he wants to have his name printed on them, before being distributed out to folks.

Apparently, the Treasury Department ordered that President Trump’s name be printed on stimulus checks that will be sent to millions of American workers impacted by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus outbreak, The Post reported, citing senior IRS officials.

Two senior agency officials told the newspaper that this move, which will be the first time a president’s name will appear on a disbursement from the IRS — will reportedly cause delays for some of the $1,200 payments Congress approved in the $2 trillion stimulus package last month.

Now, despite that, The Hill reports that the Treasury Department denied this process would cause a delay, telling the Post that the “Economic Impact Payment checks are scheduled to go out on time and exactly as planned.”

As promised, the first wave of stimulus checks have already been sent out. Some American have confirmed on social media that their checks officially hit their account this Wednesday, April 15.

McDonald’s Apologizes After Store In China Displayed Sign Banning Black People

There has been major racial tension between Africans and locals in China, even more since the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus. Due to recent warnings from Chinese officials about the rising number of imported coronavirus cases, it has stoked anti-foreigner sentiment, causing some Africans to get turned away from many places including local business and even their homes. According to CNN, Africans in the southern Chinese city have been evicted from their homes by landlords and stopped from entering hotels, despite many claiming to have no recent travel history or known contact with Covid-19 patients.

Just recently, a Mcdonald’s restaurant in China displayed a sign banning black people from the premises. The note, which circulated on social media, said the McDonald’s location in Guangzhou has “been informed that from now on black people are not allowed to enter the restaurant.”

Following a wave of backlash, McDonald’s has come out to apologize. “As a brand, as a company and as more than 2.2 million people serving nearly 120 countries around the world, this is not representative of our inclusive values,” a spokeswoman told Insider.

“Immediately upon learning of an unauthorized communication to our guests at a restaurant in Guangzhou, we immediately removed the communication and temporarily closed the restaurant.” The spokesperson said that during the temporary closure, staff will be retrained.

As BBC notes, Guangzhou is a hub for African traders buying and selling goods and is home to one of China’s largest African communities. The Guangdong provincial government has responded to concerns about discrimination by calling China and Africa good friends, partners and brothers, the new site notes while adding they’re “working promptly to improve” its way of operating.

Welp, can’t say we didn’t see this coming. Just two days after NASCAR star Kyle Larson was caught during a live stream using a racial slur, his team has decided to officially let him go.

Chip Ganassi Racing announced this Tuesday that Kyle Larson is no longer a part of the organization:

“After much consideration, Chip Ganassi Racing has determined that it will end its relationship with driver Kyle Larson. As we said before, the comments that Kyle made were both offensive and unacceptable especially given the values of our organization. As we continued to evaluate the situation with all the relevant parties, it became obvious that this was the only appropriate course of action to take.“

The big decision was made just hours after NASCAR decided to suspend Larson who made a public apology to his fans and those he offended. Although Larson admitted that he “made a mistake and said the word that should never, ever be said and there’s no excuse for that,” it looks like it just wasn’t enough.

President Barack Obama Set To Endorse Former VP Joe Biden For President

According to multiple reports, former President Barack Obama is planning to formally endorse Joe Biden in the looming race against President Trump!

A source familiar with the situation confirmed this to Fox News, saying that an endorsement video from Obama will be released later this Tuesday.

The endorsement of Biden — Barack’s
vice president and running mate through two terms and presidential campaigns — will come one day after Sen. Bernie Sanders offered Biden his endorsement during a livestream on Monday. As we previously reported, Sanders ended his campaign for president last week, leaving Biden as the apparent nominee.

During the live streamed conversation between the two men, Sanders told Biden “we need you in the White House.”

“I’m asking every Democrat, I’m asking every independent, I’m asking a lot of Republicans to come together in this campaign to support your candidacy, which I endorse,” Sanders said.

The endorsement by Obama, who remains one of the most popular and influential figures in the party, has sparked mixed feelings on social media. Tornadoes Kill Several People Across The South Leaving 1.3 Million Without Power

At least 20 people have been killed after tornadoes started ripping through the South on Easter, destroying homes and stores and leaving over 1 million people without power.

The tornadoes and severe weather struck Central Texas early Sunday, bringing “gigantic” hail and heavy wind while traveling east through Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas. As CNBC reports, eleven people were killed in Mississippi, and six more died in northwest Georgia. Two other bodies were pulled from damaged homes in Arkansas and South Carolina.

The National Weather Service tallied hundreds of reports of trees down across the region, including many that went through roofs and downed power lines. Meanwhile, Meteorologists warned the mid-Atlantic states to prepare for potential tornadoes, wind, and hail this Monday.

These tornadoes come in the midst of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, Mississippi officials said the tornadoes’ threat to the community trumped that of COVID-19, forcing locals to flee their homes for safer shelters:

“That’s always an issue – we emphasized to everyone that if they went into a shelter they had to maintain hygiene, wash their hands and use sanitizer and use masks but at the end of the day, life safety had to persist over everything else and the greater risk of the tornado overcame COVID,” Mississippi Emergency Management Agency Greg Michel said to Good Morning America on Monday.

While speaking on the risk of coronavirus in shelters he said, “it’s still a concern but we’ve got folks who live in rural areas – shelters were the only option they had.”

Officials say the death toll is expected to go up.

As expected, Kyle Larson has come out to apologize to his fans after he was caught during a live stream virtual race using a racial slur.

As we previously reported, Larson was competing in an iRacing event on Sunday when he appeared to lose communication on his headset with his spotter. While trying to check his microphone, he said, “You can’t hear me?” As he tried to get a response, Larson yelled out, “Hey, n—–.” Now, since the main race was broadcast live on several Twitch streams and eNASCAR.com, Larson’s slur made its rounds on social media where it upset many people especially his fans.

Following the news of his suspension, Larson uploaded an Instagram video to his page Monday morning to apologize for his behavior:

“I just want to say I’m sorry,” he started. “Last night I made a mistake and said the word that should never ever be said and there’s no excuse for that. I wasn’t raised that way and it’s just an awful thing to say. I feel very sorry for my family, my friends, my partners, the NASCAR community and especially the African-American community.”

He went on to say,

“I understand the damage is probably unrepairable and I own up to that. I just want to let you all know how sorry I am and I hope everybody is staying safe during these crazy times.”

Larson’s team, Chip Ganassi Racing, has suspended the driver without pay while it investigates the situation.

“We are extremely disappointed by what Kyle said last night during an iRacing Event,” the team said in a statement … calling Larson’s comments “offensive and unacceptable. As of this moment, we are suspending Kyle without pay while we work through this situation with all appropriate parties,” TMZ quotes.

Former NFL QB Tarvaris Jackson, 36, Dies In Car Crash In Alabama

Former NFL quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has unfortunately passed away.

According to TMZ, Tarvaris Jackson, who famously backed up Russell Wilson in Super Bowl XLVIII died in a car crash in Alabama on Sunday night. Law enforcement, sources say Jackson’s vehicle hit a tree just before 9 PM on Sunday, causing the car to overturn. The news site notes that it was a single-car accident.

Jackson who recently had been working as a quarterback coach for the Tennessee State football team was just 36-years-old. Russell Wilson took to Twitter this Monday morning to remember his former teammate. He tweeted,

“TJack… you will be missed. Praying for your family…Love you man.” Other fans on social media paid tribute to the star while sending condolences to Jackson’s family.

As Fox New notes, The Minnesota Vikings selected Jackson in the second round of the 2006 draft out of Alabama State. He played five seasons and in 36 games with the Vikings and had 3,984 passing yards with 24 touchdown passes. Jackson joined the Seattle Seahawks prior to the start of the 2011 season where he backed up Wilson during their Super Bowl run. He was last on their team during the 2015 season.

Tarvaris Jackson is survived by his wife Lakitta and their three children.

ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ Anchor George Stephanopoulos Tests Positive For Coronavirus

During Monday’s show, “Good Morning America” anchor George Stephanopoulos revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19, just two weeks after his wife Ali Wentworth revealed she was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.

While the 55-year-old comedian said she experienced “horrific” symptoms, Stephanopoulos, 59, says he hasn’t had “any of the classic symptoms you’ve been reading about.” “I’ve never had a fever, never had a cough, never had shortness of breath, never had chills,” he told co-anchor, Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan, noting that he feels “great.”

Stephanopoulos said it wasn’t a shock to him that he tested positive for the virus. While Wentworth self-isolated in a separate room of their home, Stephanopoulos, who shares two daughters with Wentworth, has been his wife’s caregiver throughout her battle with COVID-19.

Stephanopoulos has been broadcasting from home after Wentworth developed symptoms. Despite his diagnosis, he says he feels “great.”

As CNN reports, Covid-19 has infected more than 1.85 million people and killed at least 114,000 worldwide, according to Johns Hopkins University. At least 22,116 people have died in the US from coronavirus.

The news site notes that totals includes cases from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and other U.S. territories, as well as all repatriated cases. However, Wyoming is the only state or territory that is not reporting a death from coronavirus.

Johns Hopkins has reported 363 new cases and 37 reported deaths as of this Monday morning.

UPDATE: First Batch Of Coronavirus Stimulus Checks Have Been Sent!

The wait is over… for some Americans. As promised, the IRS has started sending coronavirus stimulus payment to eligible Americans who have direct deposit.

The official Twitter account for the IRS announced the first wave in a tweet Saturday: “#IRS deposited the first Economic Impact Payments into taxpayers’ bank accounts today,” the tweet said. “We know many people are anxious to get their payments; we’ll continue issuing them as fast as we can.”

As we previously reported, the payments are part of the $2.2 trillion package passed by Congress at the end of March. It’s intended to help workers who have been laid off or furloughed due to the pandemic. As the New York Post reports, individual taxpayers who make less than $75,000 will be eligible for $1,200 checks while married couples filing jointly who make less than $150,000 will get $2,400. On top of that, they will also be eligible for $500 for each dependent child under 17.

Couples who earn more than $198,000 will not get a check.

The income amounts are based on tax returns filed for 2018 or 2019. Those who do not use direct deposit will get physical checks. However, that could delay the process by weeks.

Michigan Woman Loses Entire Family To Coronavirus As Husband And Only Son Die Within Days

According to a report by The New York Post citing the Detroit News, a Michigan woman lost her entire family to coronavirus as her husband and her only child died within days of each other.

Sandy Brown of Grand Blanc found the strength to share her story with the news site although she’s suffering from indescribable grief after losing her husband and son, Freddie Lee Brown Jr. and Freddie Lee Brown III, in a span of three days.

Sandy said that her 59-year-old husband came down with symptoms mid March. Her husband, who had a kidney transplant, began having trouble breathing and was later admitted to Ascension Genesys Hospital. From there, he tested positive for COVID-19 and was placed on a ventilator, which required he be put in a medically-induced coma, the report said. A few days later, Sandy received a call that his lung collapsed and to rushed to the hospital to be by his side. Although doctors urged her to not go into his hospital room, she insisted, and put on protective gear to say her final goodbyes to her husband. “I’m going in that room,” she reportedly told them.

“I’m going in that room,” she reportedly told them. “I don’t care what I have to do. I’ll sign whatever I need to sign,” The Post quotes.

As hard as that was to deal with, Sandy got even more frustrating news. The next day, her 20-year-old son, Freddie III, who had asthma, became sick with a fever and a cough, the outlet reported. Sandy brought him to the same hospital, where his health seemed to improve. However, later he began struggling to breathe, the report said.

Just three days after her husband’s death, Sandy got the same call from the hospital asking her how quickly she could get there, the outlet reported. From there, she learned that her son had also succumbed to the virus.

Sandy told the newspaper:

“In three days, I lost my husband and son to an ugly plague.” She added, “I watched my son go from completely well and whole and happy to being gone in three days.”

Sandy buried her husband and son on Good Friday, according to the site. The Friday service, which was livestreamed over Sandy’s Facebook page, 25 local people wearing masks walked, one by one, into the empty funeral home. After paying their last respects, they cleaned their hands with sanitizer. Brown watched the burial through a car window.
