Sources are saying that COVID-19 originated in a Wuhan laboratory but not as a bioweapon but as China’s effort to prove to the United States that they can identify and combat viruses.
In an exclusive report by FOX News, the sources allege that the initial transmission of the virus was from bat-to-human. A lab worker named “Patient Zero” went among the public in Wuhan after contracting COVID-19, leading up to the rapid outbreak of the virus. Documents from the lab indicate doctors tried to contain the virus and China’s government tried to put the blame on Wuhan’s wet market, stating they were selling infected bats. However, it was revealed these markets never sold the rodents and were used as a deflection to cover up the laboratory’s work.

One of the sources called it “the costliest government coverup of all time.” President Donald Trump said during a White House press briefing early Wednesday that an investigation is underway:
“More and more we’re hearing the story…we are doing a very thorough examination of this horrible situation.”
