Trump Adviser Stephen Moore Calls Coronavirus Protesters ‘Modern-Day Rosa Parks’
Social media users are lighting up White House Adviser Stephen Moore over his shocking comments about COVID-19 protesters.
While speaking with the Washington Post, Moore said that the largely white COVID-19 protesters who oppose social distancing measures are like Rosa Parks… the civil rights leader who waged a historic battle for racial equality: “I call these people modern-day Rosa Parks. They are protesting against injustice and a loss of liberties,” Moore told the newspaper.
In addition to that comment, he also told CBS News:
“It’s interesting to me that the right has become more the Rosa Parks of the world than the left is.” He said in a YouTube video quoted by The New York Times: “We need to be the Rosa Parks here, and protest against these government injustices.”

Moore, who is a member of President Donald Trump’s back-to-work council is among many conservative leaders working against business shutdowns and stay-at-home measures even though it is to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Congratulations to Trump adviser Stephen Moore on a comment at once strikingly stupid and deeply offensive.

Trump Advisor Stephen Moore compared the COVID-19 protesters to Rosa Parks.
Right, if Rosa Parks had planned to move to the front of the bus to kill everyone else on aboard.— Janice Hough (@leftcoastbabe) April 18, 2020
