According to the New York Post, Barry Lee Jones’ son had been facing off against an athlete from Hickory Ridge High School when the dad got angry after the other student pulled a move that the referee deemed illegal, the report said. Video showed the 54-year-old charging onto the mat and tackling his son’s opponent down. Other parents can then be seen rushing to break up the brawl.
The North Carolina father was arrested Saturday on charges of simple assault and disorderly conduct at the competition in Kannapolis, news station WGHP reported. He was booked at Cabarrus County Jail, where he was ordered held on a $1,000 bond, according to the report.
Police noted that the student wasn’t injured in the incident.

The Game Steps In To Help Kids Who Were Stopped By Police For Selling Candy
The Game is watching out for the kids! On Sunday night, the rapper was leaving Beauty & Essex restaurant when he noticed officers speaking to a group of kids nearby who was selling candy on the sidewalk. Apparently, another business in the area called the cops and reported the little kids who were just trying to make some money.

The incident was captured all on camera and shows a woman dressed as a shopper with expensive taste, wearing a fur coat and large sunglasses. The owner of S.M. Diamond Center in the mall told FOX 5 that the woman “came in completely alone, and she acted like she wanted to buy something for her boyfriend.”
The owner said she had her eyes on a Rolex watch that was 14-carat gold and silver with a nearly 1-carat diamond on the top. The total cost of the watch was $4,800! She tried on the Rolex and wanted to try on another but was told that she can only see one at a time. Just seconds later she storms off with the expensive watch while the employee tries his best to alert the owner.
“I immediately ran after her,” he said. “There was a white Mitsubishi parked outside. I recognized the guy.”
He explained that the man inside the car had been at the store with a woman at least twice before looking at those particular watches. He believes she wore the disguise when she returned.
“This is our hard-earned money. We work hard for every single penny and we do not have the insurance to cover this kind of loss,” he said. “I wish that these people would understand we have a family to run and we work every day.”
Cops are now searching for the woman and asking the public to share any information that would be helpful for their investigation.

Coco Gauff snags another win! The fifteen-year-old tennis star defeated the seven-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams 7-6 (7/5), 6-3 at the Australian Open.
It was Gauff’s second straight win over the 39-year-old since her first-ever match in the main draw of a major in the first round of Wimbledon in July. Speaking to reporters at a news conference following her victory, Gauff said,

According to TMZ, the rapper/punk rocker was recently arrested but not for anything crazy like a fight, drug possession or a DUI. Instead, he was taken into police custody over his darn brass knuckles… yup, you read that right.
The news site reports that Mensa was riding a motorcycle in Glendale, CA earlier this month when police stopped him for making an unsafe turn. From there, the officer patted him down and found the brass knuckles in Vic’s pants pocket. Now, although the “fist-load weapon” is legal to have in other states for self-defense purposes, unfortunately, they’re banned in California. It was said that cops booked him for felony possession of brass knuckles but he was later released after posting $20,000 bond.
But peep this, despite all of that, cops decided not to ticket him for the alleged unsafe turn.
Salon Owner Defends Work After Michigan Woman Says She Received Botched Microblading
#Socialites, check this out! So a Michigan woman named Shannon Bozell paid $350 for an eyebrow tattooing method called microblading back in October of 2019. The service was provided by Anne Hicks, a salon owner who’s also a microblading artist, who performed the service at Merle Norman in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Bozell explained that she wanted to get her eyebrows microbladed because she had little to no eyebrows after over-plucking them when she was younger. Following her session, Bozell said she was unhappy with her eyebrows as soon as Hicks finished the appointment. She said the microblading brows were too boxy, too dark and ill-suited to her face. Since the appointment, Bozell said she’s cut bangs and dyed her hair to conceal her eyebrows.
“I went from having zero eyebrows to having these monster eyebrows, and it’s hard to swallow,” she said. “They’re big caterpillar eyebrows that don’t fit my face,” WJLA quotes.
Bozell contacted Hicks with her dissatisfaction following the initial appointment. From there, Hicks set up another appointment to pull some of the colors from Bozell’s eyebrows in an attempt to make them lighter to create more of an arch. Bozell admitted that the process was an improvement from what she started off with. However, she said,
“I felt better when I left. I took a few pictures, and they were lighter,” she said. “I did not realize in 24 to 48 hours, I was going to have two very large blisters.”
Despite that, Hicks, who had received pics of Bozell’s blisters says she was not aware that the marks in the photos were actually blisters and couldn’t verify whether Bozell had properly cared for her brows following both appointments.
“I stand by the work that I did when she left, and I stand behind the fact that I told her in detail what the process could be and what the process was,” said Hicks. “She looked like she would have had a normal recovery. She also looked like she had pigment pulled, so that’s two different types of what I see as normal recovery on the brows, and what I see as pigment being pulled,” she said.
Bozell eventually had to look for another artist in the area to start the removal process, which cost about $150 a session, WJLA reports.
As for Hicks, she worried about her business following Bozell’s public post about her horrible experience.

Tekashi 6ix9ine is already making plans for himself after he’s released from prison and it looks like some of his old crew members are doing the same thing too!
According to TMZ, the rapper’s old bodyguards plan to officially part ways with Tekashi once he’s out of the slammer. The news site says ex-members of his security team feel that he unnecessarily put them in harm’s way before he went to prison, and because he did all that singing in court, they believe it would make things worse for them to do their jobs.
It was also noted that one thing they all have in common is that no amount of money he could pay would bring them back, sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ. Especially because of the “street politics” and possible retaliation Tekashi is going to have to deal with after he gets out later this year.
As we previously reported, Tekashi is currently behind bars on racketeering, drugs and guns charges. However, thanks to all the alleged snitching, he’s expected to be out sooner than what he was initially handed down.
Instagram To Start Labelling Photoshopped Images With “False Information” Warning
Things are about to get real on these Instagram feeds as it’s just been reported that the social media platform will be rolling out a new “false information” feature for photoshopped pics!
Apparently, the new move is the company’s effort to combat misinformation and fake news. While some reports claim that the new feature will be implemented very soon, one San Francisco-based photographer, Toby Harriman noticed that it was already active. According to PetaPixel, Harriman says he was scrolling through his main Instagram feed a few days ago when he saw the “False Information” warning pop up for the first time.
After clicking through the post, Harriman found that it was simply a photo of a man standing on rainbow-colored mountains. “Looks like Instagram x Facebook will start tagging false photos/digital art,” Harriman wrote in an FB post, as he was considered that it would affect other photographers.
However, Instagram says, that the system uses “a combination of feedback from our community and technology” to identify which photos to pass onto third-party independent fact-checkers. Now, if those fact-checkers determine that a photo is fake, it will be hidden behind a warning message before anyone can even see it, PetaPixles quotes.

Officer Who Was Slapped By Odell Beckham Jr. Says He Wanted To “Punch” Him Back
The officer who got smacked on the butt by Odell Beckham Jr. really wanted to put the paws on him after the embarrassing moment.
According to NOLA.com, the 48-year-old lieutenant who has not been named, said his first reaction was to “punch” Beckham; the former LSU player, but decided it was best to remain cool.
Instead, he waited to the next day to call on the New Orleans Police Department to press charges, according to court records. But, as of Thursday morning, police had obtained a warrant to arrest the Cleveland Browns wide receiver on a count of simple battery.
As we previously reported, the officer was policing the other LSU players in the locker who were smoking a cigar to celebrate their win. In the clip, Beckham can be seen randomly smacking the officer from behind. It’s unclear if Odell was in a celebratory mood or just annoyed with the officer when he did it. Either way, it landed him in some trouble.
As of right now, Beckham, who played his prep football at New Orleans’ Isidore Newman School, hasn’t surrendered to authorities nor been arrested in connection with the accusation of simple battery as of yet.
The musical group performed at 1 of two of their concerts on Thursday but something terrible happened. The group’s member Greg Page collapsed while onstage. They were just wrapping up the show when the 48-year-old suddenly fell to the ground. According to The Wiggles’ Twitter account, he actually went into cardiac arrest.
“At the end of the show this evening there was a medical incident off stage involving Greg Page. Medics were called immediately and he was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment,” The Wiggles wrote on Twitter. The band also said that he is now in stable condition following a procedure.
“He has had a procedure and is now recovering in hospital. We appreciate your kind messages and concern,” TMZ quotes.
Rapper Pop Smoke Arrested For Allegedly Transporting Stolen Luxury Car
The list of celebrity arrests in 2020 is getting longer as rapper Pop Smoke has just been added on to it! According to TMZ, Pop Smoke was arrested Friday morning in New York on a federal charge of interstate transport of a stolen vehicle: a 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith from California.
According to court docs obtained by the news site, Pop met the owner of the Rolls-Royce back in November at an L.A. recording studio. From there, they both agreed for the rapper to use the car in an upcoming music video. In exchange, he would give the owner VIP treatment at a future show and Pop Smoke was going to return the car the next day.
However, that reportedly didn’t happen and the owner tracked the car to Arizona using GPS. He later reported it stolen. It was also said that back in December, the car owner noticed the Rolls in Pop Smoke’s social media post with a location tagged in New York, which has since been deleted. Sources say Pop Smoke was busted at JFK Airport after returning from Paris Fashion Week. He’s expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon in Brooklyn.

According to TMZ, the Migos rapper was strolling up to Palais Maillot nightclub on Thursday to celebrate Offset’s fashion week show. Apparently, security working the party didn’t realize who Quavo was and stopped him at the entrance. A witness says that one of the dancers from the Les Twins — who toured with Beyonce — stepped in and told security to let the rapper inside, but, it didn’t go too well.

Walmart Apologizes For Distasteful Paul Walker Joke
Walmart has decided to issue an apology following backlash over an offensive post.
For those who didn’t catch all of the commotion, a Twitter user shared a story about Walmart selling Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with strawberry and cream-flavored icing. The post was attached with a funny gif of a car wildly racing through traffic with the caption, “*me racin to the nearest Wally World*.” Walmart decided to respond to the GIF by saying, “Hey, Paul Walker. Click it, or ticket.”
While it appears Walmart was just trying to make a “Fast & Furious” reference, the joke quickly backfired. As it was previously reported, Paul Walker died tragically as a passenger in a Porshe driven by his friend that was going over 100mph. Fans thought the company’s tweet was extremely disrespectful, insensitive, and distasteful. A rep for Walmart is now speaking out, telling TMZ that, “We apologize to Paul Walker’s family, friends and fans. The tweet was posted in poor judgment and has been removed.”
Following the wave of backlash, the tweet has since been deleted.

B2K’sRaz B found himself in the slammer again after being pulled over in Burbank, CA this morning.
According to TMZ, Raz blew a red light and was pulled over to the side of the road. From there, cop smelled alcohol on his breath as Raz tried to explain that he didn’t know where he was going. He later admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana earlier in the night.
Field sobriety tests were conducted and it included a breath sample, and as you can guess, Raz didn’t pass. He was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. However, he was released after posting $5,000 bond.

In an essay for OprahMag.com, Oprah Winfrey opens about why she and Stedman Graham have never tied the knot after being together for over three decades. Now, for those who don’t know, Graham did propose to the famed TV host back in 1993, but Winfrey said that she and Graham, 68, agreed that if they had ever gotten married they “would not still be together.”

Arrest Warrant Issued For Odell Beckham Jr. For Spanking An Officer’s Butt
More trouble for Odell Beckham Jr. While the Cleveland Browns football player was celebrating with the LSU football team after they won the National Championship at the Superdome on Monday night, Beckham could be seen on video smacking an officer’s butt!
In the clip, the officer is seen policing players over the cigar-smoking as they celebrated their victory. However, seconds later, Odell reaches the back of his hand and smacks the officer right on his butt. The officer looked a little confused but didn’t really react and that’s probably because he already knew how he wanted to handle the situation.
According to TMZ, a warrant has just been issued for his arrest by a judge following the butt-smacking incident. Apparently, authorities initially wanted to charge Beckham with misdemeanor sexual battery, according to Nola.com. However, a judge wouldn’t approve of it. Instead, the judge agreed the simple battery charge was more appropriate.
“We can confirm a warrant has been issued on a charge of simple battery,” a spokesperson for the New Orleans Police Dept. tells TMZ Sports. The Cleveland Browns also released a statement on OBJ, saying, “We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation.”
TMZ notes that if he is convicted, the 27-year-old will be looking up to 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Wendy Williams Apologizes For Joaquin Phoenix ‘Cleft Lip’ Comments
During Wendy Williams’ January 7 show where she discussed the Golden Globes, Williams told her show’s audience that she finds Joaquin Phoenix — who won the best actor Golden Globe for his “Joker” performance “oddly attractive.” She explained,
“When he shaves off his mustache, he’s got a hairline fracture,” Williams said. “He’s got one of those, what do you call it, cleft lip, cleft palate.”
From there, Williams pulled her top lip up over her teeth to demonstrate the look of a cleft and her fans weren’t so happy about that.
Many people criticized the host for her comment and demonstration including Canadian football player Adam Bighill who repeatedly called for Williams to apologize. He even tweeted a picture of his son who appears to be going into surgery for his condition. The caption top the picture read,

Dina Lohan Facing SIX Months In Jail For DUI Arrest
As we reported, Dina Lohan was arrested for DUI over the weekend after her Mercedes crashed into another car outside of an Outback Steakhouse. Lohan is now facing a felony DWI charge and other charges including leaving the scene of an accident, and unlicensed operation and driving an uninspected vehicle, according to The Blast.
Lohan was charged with a felony since it wasn’t her first arrest for a similar charge. Back in 2013, she was also arrested for drunk driving. At the time, Lohan pled guilty to aggravated driving while intoxicated and speeding.
However, she’s not trying plead guilty again this time around. The news site reports that Lohan was offered a plea deal in her latest DUI arrest, and it would have landed her in jail for SIX months. However, she reportedly rejected it during the court hearing.
Now, a new court date was reportedly set. Though, it was not shared. Dina has pled not guilty to the latest DUI charges.
Celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels is still receiving some heat after suggesting Lizzo’s body should not be admired since she’s at risk of obesity-related health issues such as diabetes.
As some may recall, Michaels asked Buzzfeed News’ AM2DM morning show host,
“Why are we celebrating her body? Why aren’t we celebrating her music? ‘Cause it isn’t going to be awesome if she gets diabetes. I love her music. My kid loves her music. But, there’s never a moment where I’m like, ‘And I’m so glad that she’s overweight.'”
Now, Michaels stood by what she said and also reiterated to TMZ that being overweight is dangerous. However, she did talk about the topic again during a recent sit-down with Extra’sBilly Bush and shared the one thing she actually regrets from making that comment,
“I think this is where things can become unsafe when we’re so PC that we’re denying the reality of certain health ramifications,” she said. “There are two different narratives: One narrative is: love yourself, value yourself, and—by the way, only from this place can you be healthier, mentally, physically, have healthy love, have a healthy career—you’ve got to value you yourself, believe in your worth, and believe in your ability. But where this comes into play, right, you’re weight, your size, whatever you want to call it, is your health, and denying that there are serious health ramifications when we are overweight is just not a lie I’m willing to tell.”
She went on to say,
“First of all, she didn’t invite this at all,” she said. “And what I really regret is this argument became about a person and what happened was I was asked if I celebrate her being overweight and I should have said, ‘I don’t celebrate anyone being overweight,’ and I don’t know what would I say to her. I’m a huge fan, which is exactly what I said in the interview. Unfortunately, a human being was attached to a case that I was making. I wish that I would have responded that I don’t celebrate anyone being overweight,” Complex quotes.
Too Faced Cosmetics Creator Fires Sister After Transphobic Remark About
Earlier this week, social media users noticed that a woman made offensive comments towards YouTube creator Nikkie de Jager after the social media influencer came out as transgender. The woman was later revealed as the sister of Jerrod Blandino; the co-founder of the cosmetics brand Too Faced.
Blandino’s sister, who goes by Dani California on Instagram, allegedly changed her bio to: “Transgender, huh? That’s not the only thing she’s been LYING about,” referring to Nikkie’s coming out video. Almost immediately the comment sparked a wave of backlash on Twitter, with many people labeling the remark as transphobic. However, Dani later changed her Instagram bio to: “Let’s be clear, I love trans people & dislike anyone who lies to hurt others! Period!” Even with that “clarification” it still didn’t stop her or the company from being dragged on social media.
Now, according to the latest updates, Too Faced Cosmetics’ Twitter page issued a statement with Blandino praising de Jager for “sharing her beautiful truth” while condemning his sister’s comments. He also made it clear that Dani is “no longer an employee of Too Faced.”
“I would like to make sure it is understood that although I love my sister very much, the things she says or does have absolutely nothing to do with me and do not in any way reflect me, my opinions, thoughts, or feelings nor speak for me or Too Faced in any way shape or form,” he said. “I have always stood for love, equality and kindness in my life and everything I do. I am sorry for the hurt she has caused.”
The statement continued:
“Let it be known that I am truly shocked and disgusted to my core at her recent actions. I do not tolerate this behavior and she is no longer an employee”

Michael Avenatti Arrested In California For Alleged Bail Violation
Well, this is not good. Michael Avenatti, the attorney best known as the legal counsel for adult-film actress Stormy Daniels during her lawsuit against Donald Trump, was arrested Tuesday evening in California for alleged bail violations, according to a court filing by federal prosecutors.
His arrest came as he was appearing before the State Bar Court in Los Angeles, which is conducting disciplinary proceedings related to multiple criminal cases that were filed against him in California and New York. It was said that Avenatti was arrested by IRS agents on allegation of violating the terms of his pre-trial release, said Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the Los Angeles U.S. attorney’s office. However, the documents were under seal, so Mrozek could not provide any further details on the allegations.
Avenatti attorney Steven Bledsoe did speak out to the Daily Beast and said,
“I understand that Mr. Avenatti has been arrested by the federal authorities for violating the terms of his release,” Avenatti said, “Completely innocent,” as he was being led out of the courthouse, according to the media outlet.
The court filing did not make it clear what Avenatti allegedly did to violate his bail conditions. However, what we do know is that he is scheduled for trial next week in Manhattan federal court on allegations that he extorted Nike for up to $25 million; to which he has pleaded not guilty in that case.

Rihanna Reportedly Denies Passing On A Collab With Shaggy For Her Album
Although Rihanna hasn’t shared a bunch of details yet about her highly-anticipated album, there has been a lot of speculation on who will be featured of it. Some reports claimed that the iconic artist Shaggy was going to be featured on R9, but those reports quickly went left after it was said that he actually turned it down!
Some outlets claimed that Shaggy passed on the opportunity to work with Ri after she wanted him to “audition” for her song. However, according to a new statement sent out to a few outlets, that’s totally not true.
Apparently, a rep for the singer says, “We are working on an album, not a talent show, so why would she (Rihanna) require Shaggy or any other artist to audition?,” Hot97 quotes. The representative went on to say,
“After Rihanna had already gathered all the material for the album, Shaggy contacted her asking to be a part of the album. She explained to him that the album was pretty much completed and they were just working on mixing, mastering and deciding which songs to actually use. However, she invited him to submit some materials so she could see if it fits with the flow of the album. That was by no means asking for an audition, it was more going out of her way to get him on the album.”

Chicago Pastor Accused Of Stealing From Food Program To Buy Himself A Brand New Bentley
Chicago pastor Clarence Smith Jr., who led New Life Impact Church is currently facing major consequences after being accused of stealing nearly $1 million from a food program for needy children to buy himself a Bentley!
According to the New York Post, he recently was indicted on fraud charges for raking up more than $900,000 given to the ministry for a federally funded food program through the Illinois State Board of Education. Rather than feeding the hungry, apparently, the 45-year-old pastor deposited the checks into his own bank account!
Not only did he use the money to buy himself a brand new, $142,000 Bentley Flying Spur luxury sedan, but he also reportedly used it for other expenses, according to the Chicago Tribune.
“He was coming around in Jordans and Bentleys and new cars, and I’m like, ‘Wait a minute, pastors don’t do that,’” Cosey told news station WLS-TV.
Smith who was released after pleading not guilty responded to the allegations of fraud Friday in a statement:
“I totally deny any and all allegations of fraud. I’ve served the community for years and will let this play out in court,” Smith told WLS-TV.

Netflix Moves To Dismiss Mo’Nique’s Racial Discrimination Lawsuit
Netflix has decided to fire back at comedian Mo’Nique’s lawsuit which accuses them of discrimination.
According to new legal documents obtained by The Blast, the streaming service is now moving to dismiss her lawsuit. As we previously reported, Mo’Nique accused them of only offering her $500,000 for a comedy special while they reportedly paid millions to other male and white female comedians. Her suit stated, “Despite Mo’Nique’s extensive résumé when presented with an opportunity to do an exclusive stand-up comedy special for Netflix, she was given a low-ball offer that was only a fraction of what Netflix paid other comedians.”
In newly filed documents, Netflix says,
“Plaintiff fails, however, to allege any facts showing that the compensation offered her was the product of discrimination. To the contrary, her Complaint contradicts its core premise by noting that other persons of color, other women, and another African- American woman (like Plaintiff) have been paid substantially more money to create comedy specials for Netflix’s streaming service than what was offered to Plaintiff. And Plaintiff fails to explain why she was entitled to be offered what the stars to whom she compares herself were offered for creating such comedy specials, ” The Blast quotes.
Netflix claims they have proof that the comedian was not discriminated against by them. In addition to that, they’re asking the court to dismiss the majority of her claims entirely.
Popular YouTuber Nikkie de Jager, better known by her online persona NikkieTutorials, made a big announcement on Monday in an emotional video dedicated to her loyal fans. The Dutch makeup artist, who has done makeup transformations on Lady Gaga and Kim Kardashian, uploaded a video titled “I’m Coming Out,” revealing to her 12.4 million subscribers that she is transgender.
“Today I am here to share something with you that I’ve always wanted to share with you one day, but under my own circumstances, and it looks like that chance has been taken away from me,” she says in the video. “So today, I am taking back my own power and I have to tell you something.”
Nikkie went on to explain that she always wanted to be her own person — without any labels. However, she says “It’s time to let go and be truly free.” She then says, ”When I was younger I was born in the wrong body, which means that I am transgender. I am NikkieTutorials, and I am Nikkie. I am me. We don’t need labels. But if we are going to put a label on it, yes, I am transgender. But at the end of the day, I am me.”
During the video, the vlogger also opened up about her childhood and shared how she always identified as a woman growing up. “By the age of seven or eight I fully wore girl’s clothes only and it felt amazing.” She said she fully transitioned by the age of 19. As for her reason to come out now,
“I have been blackmailed by people that wanted to leak my story to the press,” she said although she didn’t name them. However, Nikkie said she always had intentions to open up about this part of her life but wanted her YouTube channel to be all about her art.
“The last thing I want in my life is for you to not trust me anymore or to look at me with different eyes,” she says. “At the end of the day, I am still Nikkie.”
The news came as a shock to get fans who had no clue. However, that didn’t stop them from loving her. In fact, they found more respect for Nikkie and praised her for coming out and doing things on her own terms.

Queen Elizabeth II Agrees To Let Harry And Meghan Move Part-Time To Canada
Folks can finally put all the speculation of a royal family feud to rest as Prince Harry, Prince William and Queen Elizabeth have issued statements clarifying the latest reports.
As we previously reported, Meghan Markle and Harry decided to step down from their royal duties. Some reports claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s behavior played a role in their decision to “step back.” However, that wasn’t the case according to Harry and Williams’ joint statement.
“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge,” the statement said. “For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful. “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that any more; we’re separate entities,” Prince William told the friend. “I’m sad about that. All we can do, and all I can do, is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page. I want everyone to play on the team.”
The queen — who was reportedly caught off-guard by last week’s announcement — also acknowledged that she would have “preferred” for Meghan and Harry to keep their royal roles, but said she is “supportive” of their change in plan.
“Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family,” the queen’s statement reads. “My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.
“Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives. It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the U.K.
“These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”

Welp, it looks like it’s a wrap for Cory Booker. The New Jersey senator made a shocking announcement this Monday morning that he is dropping out of the presidential race.
In an email shared to his supporters, Booker revealed that he made the move to drop out due to a lack of fundraising. It was previously reported that Booker’s campaign struggled with fundraising over the past several months, and almost ended his campaign last fall if he couldn’t make a fundraising goal.
“Friend, it’s with a full heart that I share this news — I’ve made the decision to suspend my campaign for president,” he wrote in the email. “It was a difficult decision to make, but I got in this race to win, and I’ve always said I wouldn’t continue if there was no longer a path to victory.”
“Our campaign has reached the point where we need more money to scale up and continue building a campaign that can win — money we don’t have, and money that is harder to raise because I won’t be on the next debate stage and because the urgent business of impeachment will rightly be keeping me in Washington,” he continued.
The 50-year-old Democrat was just one of three African American candidates running for president, including Sen. Kamala Harris — who has also dropped out — and former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who jumped into the race late last year.

The nominations for the 2020 Oscars were announced this Monday morning by “Insecure” star Issa Rae and “Star Trek” actor Jon Cho, and some of our favorites are up to snag an award!
Kicking things off with the “Joker,” the film is the leading nominee for the Academy Awards with 11 nominations including best actor for Joaquin Phoenix and best director for Todd Phillips. Barack and Michelle Obama officially entered the 2020 Oscars mix with the documentary American Factory, which made headlines last summer when it was announced as the couple’s first film presented by the Obamas’ production company, Higher Ground. The Netflix original was nominated for Best Documentary Feature. Mrs. Obama took to Twitter to thank all the people who were involved in the project.
Actress Cynthia Erivo is nominated for two Oscars for playing Harriet Tubman in the Harriet biopic, as well as co-writing the song from the movie, “Stand Up,” making her one step closer to becoming the youngest EGOT winner.

According to the New York Daily News, a mother named Parisa Dudley shared a Facebook post last week revealing that her son, Foster, discovered an envelope at a Target store in the town of Hoover. The envelope had a receipt from a credit union along with a woman’s name on it.
Dudley admitted that her son had asked her, “‘Mom, can we keep it?’ I looked at him and asked him to put himself in her shoes. What if he had lost that much money. How would he feel?” He quickly answered, “‘Mom, we have to find her and give it back.’”
Dudley and Foster managed to get in touch with the owner of the envelope, who was later identified as Verdina Ball. Thanks to the help of the store’s manager, they returned the money to her. Dudley even shared a series of photos showing her son meeting the woman.
Since Foster did the right thing, as a reward he got a $100 gift card to Target. Foster also received “a great lesson in integrity and empathy.”
Philippines Volcano Bring Threat Of ‘Volcanic Tsunami’ After Eruption
This Sunday, authorities in the Philippines issued out a warning of a possible “volcanic tsunami” after a small volcano near the country’s capital erupted earlier in the day, shutting down the main international airport and causing tens of thousands to evacuate.
According to The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology’s advisory, the Taal Volcano has been continuously blasting a column of steam, ash, and pebbles up to 9 miles into the sky. The danger level around Taal went up three notches on Sunday to “Alert Level 4,” by the volcanology institute. The advisory read, “This means that hazardous explosive eruption is possible within hours to days.”
Now, level 5, the highest, which means a hazardous eruption is underway and could affect a larger area. As of today, there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. However, authorities quickly moved to evacuate more than 6,000 villagers from an island in the middle of a lake, where the volcano lies along with thousands of more from nearby coastal towns, officials said.
Fox News reported that about 300,000 people were targeted to be moved to safety in Batangas overnight and in the next few days.
Serena Williams Donates Prize Money From Her First Title Win In Three Years To Australian Wildfire Relief
Today was a great day for Serena Williams. The tennis star ended a three-year title drought after beating Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-4 on Sunday to win the singles final at the ASB Classic!
The 38-year-old hadn’t won a title since the Australian Open in January 2017, and since becoming a mother to her daughter Olympia. After the game, Williams shared how thrilled she was about wining the title. She said,
“It feels good. It’s been a long time,” Williams said. “I think you can see the relief on my face. I played an incredible opponent today in Jessica and, honestly, it was a great match and I couldn’t have played anyone better in the final.”
To make things even more special, Williams said she would donate her $43K winning check to the Australia wildfire relief.
“I’ve been playing Australia for over 20 years and it’s been really hard for me to watch all the news and everything that’s been happening in Australia with all the fires and over a billion animals and people who have lost their homes,” Williams said. “So I decided that I would donate all my prize money for a great cause.”
U.S. President Donald Trump even tweeted to Williams, congratulating her on her big win. He tweeted,
“Congratulations to @serenawilliams on another big win. She is a great player and an even greater person. Our members in Virginia (Tennis) will never forget you!”

Puerto Rico just can’t catch a break! According to the US Geological Survey, an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 rattled Puerto Rico this Saturday morning around 8:54 a.m. just 8 miles south of Indios at a shallow depth of 6 miles.
The quake comes just shortly after Puerto Rico had been hit by temblors throughout the week, including a 6.4 magnitude quake Tuesday that killed at least one man, destroyed many homes and left most of the island without power. A 5.2 magnitude aftershock struck on Friday afternoon.
As of right now, there have been no immediate reports of the extent of damage or injury. As of Saturday, more than 2,000 people remained in shelters as many are fearful of returning to their homes, and others unable to because of extensive damage.
Hundreds of thousands of Puerto Ricans are also still without power and water. Víctor Huérfano, director of Puerto Rico’s Seismic Network, told The Associated Press that he expects more aftershocks as a result of the latest large one that occurred.
“It’s going to re-energize an unstable situation,” he said, adding that seismologists are studying which faults were activated. “It’s a complex zone.”

The 22-year-old eventually came back into frame showing the injuries she sustained from the fight. While many believed Savage, 24, had badly hurt her, this new video shows Clary actually putting up a fight!
Clary could be seen defending herself after being hit inside Kelly’s home by Savage. She was captured dragging Savage and throwing a few punches as they both went at it for quite a while before being separated. As we previously reported, Clary was taken to the hospital to be treated while Savage later surrendered to cops and was booked for battery.
Savage has since been released and has to appear in court in the next two weeks. Meanwhile, Clary has reunited with her dad and J’s living in a new home where she plans to begin her new journey.

Samantha Markle Slams Half-Sister Meghan & Prince Harry’s Decision To Quit Royal Family
Meghan Markle’s estranged sister Samantha is back on the scene and it’s because she’s sharing her thoughts on the royal exit.
While speaking with Inside Edition, Markle’s controversial half-sister, said their move was a “slap in the face” and actually disappointed their father, Thomas Markle.
“It is a slap in the face. I think what is shocking is the lack of consideration for the people involved, the British royal family, the promises that were originally made to honor royal duties and to lead by example.” She continued, “They stepped into the spotlight knowing what the duties were, knowing what the media would be like for them. If she wanted to be so private, she wouldn’t have sat at Wimbledon with 40 empty seats around her.”
As we previously reported, the couple made the shocking move on Wednesday. While it’s still unclear what led the pair to step down from their royal duties, they did release a statement sharing their new focus and future plans:
“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen,” they said in their Instagram statement, later adding, “We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.”
Tyler Perry Hires Former Inmate Once Serving Life Sentence
When Tyler Perry is not in his writing room or on set directing his films, the 50-year-old is out giving back to the community and providing opportunities for those in need.
According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, during a recent banquet at Tyler Perry Studios, District Attorney Paul Howard celebrated his office’s new Conviction Integrity Unit where he announced the release of Darrell Hall, 52, who was sent to prison in 1991 for life for having “two grams of cocaine.”
Howard explained that after Hall’s Dec 13. release, the former inmate was having trouble finding a job, so the DA’s office reached out to Perry for help, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. During the event, Howard called Hall on stage and told him, “Mr. Perry says you can start to work on Monday.” Apparently, Hall was stunned by the big news but simply said, “It’s a blessing,” site reports.
While it’s not exactly clear what Hall’s new job will be, Mayor and U.N. Ambassador Andrew Young, who was the event’s keynote speaker, praised the DA’s office for their thoughtful move:

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Set To Return As Zack Morris In ‘Saved By The Bell’ Reboot
If you’re a “Save By The Bell” fan then you’re in for a great treat! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who played Zack Morris, is set to produce the reboot of the hit TV sitcom and also return to his roll for the upcoming show.
The news site reports that Gosselaar recently closed a deal to make this all happen. It was said that the reboot will exclusively air on Peacock, the upcoming streaming service from NBCUniversal. THR’s insiders say the actor will appear in at least three episodes and producers are currently in talks with former star Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, who played Kelly, to also return.
The reboot will reportedly be about Zack, now the California governor, dealing with too many low-income high schools and proposing that affected students go to the highest-performing schools in the state, such as his former school, Bayside High. It was also said that fans could expect comebacks from the original stars, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, who played A.C. Slater and Jessi Spano.
While the cast has not publicy confirmed this news, THR insider says “Saved by the Bell” revival got the green light to go straight to series in September. Peacock is set to launch in April, with original shows being added to the summer lineup.

Reese Witherspoon made it known that she had a great time at the Golden Globes. Not only because she was there to celebrate other great stars, but because she got to have a special moment with Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
The actress recently explained that she and her pal Jennifer Aniston ran out of water at their table so Witherspoon naturally asked Jay-Z and Beyonce for a glass of their champagne. On Wednesday, Witherspoon poked fun at the scenario by sharing a meme, the first of which shows JAY and Bey looking into the camera with the caption, “When you hear Reese Witherspoon is thirsty…. Hide your champagne, y’all! 😂🥂,” she wrote. The second meme on the situation depicts Bey and JAY raising a toast with their beverages, with Witherspoon photoshopped between the couple.
The fun and excitement didn’t end there. A day after the meme posts, Witherspoon received a special gift from the two; her very own case of Ace of Spades champagne!
“I just got home from New York, and the most beautiful flowers are here and a case of Ace of Spades champagne,” said the star, 43, on her Instagram story.

In a new viral video that has been posted to YouTube shows Lee Loechler and his girlfriend Sthuthi David at the Brookline’s historic Coolidge Corner Theatre in Boston, watching “Sleeping Beauty.” While looking at the screen, Sthuthi starts to become confused as the characters look nothing like the originals but more like her and Lee. The nominations for the NAACP 2020 event are out and some of our favorites are up to snag an award including Lizzo, Regina King, Billy Porter, Beyoncé and so many more!
Queen Bey managed to snag a total of eight noms across all categories thanks to her Netflix documentary “Homecoming’s” live album, and her involvement in the “The Lion King.” Daughter Blue Ivy Carter also snagged a nomination for Outstanding Collaboration for appearing on the track “Brown Skin Girl” for her mother’s album “The Lion King: The Gift,” according to Variety.
On top of all that greatness, talented singer/ rapper Lizzo earned six nominations in total. Joining Lizzo in one of the categories that she’s up for; “Entertainer of the Year,” Billy Porter, Regina King, Tyler Perry, and Angela Bassett are all up to snag that award as well.

The video that has since gone viral starts by showing the toddler near a window then walking to the other side of the building towards a balcony. However, just seconds later, the child runs back to the window to head back inside.
The heart-stopping clip was captured by the daughter of a tourist who was staying at a nearby apartment in Tenerife, according to Sky News citing the Facebook profile “I Love Tenerife!” It says she took the footage as her father “was running over to the building to try and do something and notify security.” The post explains that this happened on Saturday in Playa Paraiso, on the southwest coast of the largest of the Canary Islands, while the “parents were taking a shower.”
One user asked if the child was safe, to which the page replied “yes.”
The video has almost three million views and more than 24,000 comments. As of right now, it is unclear if the parents were approached by law enforcement after their child pulled this stunt.
U.S. Officials Say They Are Confident Iran Shot Down Ukrainian Jetliner
CBS just shared some shocking news this Thursday. The news site released a special report claiming that U.S. officials are now confident that Iran shot down a Ukrainian jetliner in the hours after the Iranian missile attack on U.S. targets.
They believe the Ukrainian flight that crashed just outside Tehran was struck down by anti-aircraft missiles. It was also said that U.S. intelligence picked up signals of radar being turned on and infrared blips of two missile launches were detected. No further details were shared as the story is still developing.
As we previously reported, the tragic crash happened on Wednesday, killing all 176 people on board. Officials say the plane was carrying 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians. It was headed to Kyiv, Ukraine. The crash has always raised concerns as it happened hours after Iran launched missiles at two Iraqi bases that house U.S. forces. It was in response to the U.S. killing of a top Iranian general Qassim Soleimani.
Earlier in the week, Iranian officials blamed mechanical trouble for the crash. However, this Thursday Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy called for “a full, credible and transparent investigation into what happened,” according to the Associated Press.
Meanwhile, CBS says Donald Trump did comment on the latest updates but has not made a public response just yet. We will continue to keep you updated when more details have been shared.

Jillian Michaels Tries To Clarify Her ‘Diabetes’ Comment About Lizzo
Fitness expert Jillian Michaels become Twitter’s latest victim after she made some unsettling comments about Lizzo’s weight.
While appearing on BuzzFeed News’s live Twitter show ”AM to DM” Wednesday, the 45-year-old reacted to Lizzo being celebrated, not just for her talent but also for loving her weight. Host Alex Berg suggested that she loves celebrities like Lizzo for “preaching self-acceptance” and allowing people to see different types of bodies being celebrated. Michaels immediately pushed back and said, ”Why are we celebrating her body? Why does it matter? Why aren’t we celebrating her music? ‘Cause it isn’t gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes.”
Welp, fans didn’t like that comment and she immediately faced tons of criticism for it. Many accused her of body-shaming while some actually sided with Micheals. Despite the mixed feelings, the celebrity trainer did release a statement to clarify her remarks. She said,
“As I’ve stated repeatedly, we are all beautiful, worthy, and equally deserving,” Michaels wrote. “I also feel strongly that we love ourselves enough to acknowledge there are serious health consequences that come with obesity.” She went on to call for people to “prioritize” their health because they love their bodies and themselves.

Justin Bieber Has Reportedly Been Battling Lyme Disease
For months, Justin Bieber fans assumed the singer has battling deep depression after being snapped multiple times with a sad face and even seen crying at one point. While it was never really confirmed what was causing the singer to look so unhappy, it looks like we finally know what’s really been going on.
In his upcoming YouTube documentary, Justin Bieber: Seasons, the 25-year-old reveals he experienced various health problems. The Biebs shared that he has been quietly suffering from Lyme disease — an infectious disease spread by ticks. He also took to IG to confirm these report and continue to speak about his health.
“While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like shit, on meth, etc. they failed to realize I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my, skin, brain function, energy, and overall health. These things will be explained further in a docu-series I’m putting on YouTube shortly.. you can learn all that I’ve been battling and OVERCOMING!!”
Justin went on to share how tough his journey was for him and how he’s now ready to take on this new year after receiving the right treatment.
“It’s been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever NO CAP.”
On Wednesday, Mac Miller’s family announced some good news for his fans. In a post shared to Miller’s Instagram account, his family said a new album from the late rapper will be released!
Miller’s last project has been titled “Circles.” Thanks to his good friend and fellow singer, Jon Brion, the posthumous album was recently completed and is now set to be released on Jan. 17.
“Here we are. The act of having to write this at all feels surreal,” his family wrote in a statement. “At the time of his passing, Malcolm was well into the process of recording his companion album to Swimming, entitled Circles.” The statement continued, “He had been working with Jon Brion, who after hearing some early versions of songs, cleared his calendar to help Malcolm fine-tune them. After his passing, Jon dedicated himself to finishing Circles based on his time and conversations with Malcolm. We are eternally grateful to Jon and to those who gave their best to the difficult and emotional task of putting out this body of work.”
As we previously reported, the rapper died of an accidental overdose in 2018. Miller had been working on a companion album to Swimming at the time of his death. However, things were put on hold following the tragedy, but fans always had hope they would get to hear the last of his unique work to add to his legacy that they will always look back on.

Donald Trump Addresses The Nation: ’Iran Appears To Be Standing Down’
This Wednesday, President Donald Trump addressed the nation from the Grand Foyer at White House just hours after Iran blasted more than a dozen rockets down on airbases in Iraq housing U.S. troops, killing none. Iranians said the attack was a move in response to the U.S. airstrike last week that killed top general and Tehran’s most powerful leaders, Qasem Soleimani.

Trump also maintained that he made the right decision to order the attack that ultimately killed Soleimani. While doing that, he also signaled a de-escalation of tension by claiming “Iran appears to be standing down.” He even announced that he would ask NATO “to become much more involved in the Middle East process.”
During his speech, Trump also vowed that on his watch, Iran would never develop a nuclear weapon.
Great news for DaBaby! The rapper won’t be charged over the DFW airport brawl.
As we previously reported, just last month, DaBaby and his friend got into a little scuffle with an airport food stand employee. His lawyer Michael Heiskell, presented video evidence to the Tarrant County D.A. showing his client didn’t commit the assault and as a result, prosecutors decided not to proceed with the charging him over the incident.
While he’s in the clear for that case, he still has to sort out his latest one involving a party promoter who claims he got beat up and robbed by the rapper.
DaBaby was arrested in Miami last week for the alleged beatdown on a concert promoter for shorting him $10,000 on his fee. DaBaby was held in jail for 2 days due to a warrant out of Texas for the airport incident. He’s still facing a battery charge, and possibly for the incident.
Boeing 737 Crashes In Tehran Killing All 176 On Board
An early morning tragedy happened as a Boeing plane crashed in Tehran, killing all 176 passengers on board.
According to reports, Ukraine International Airlines Boeing 737-800 came down around 6 am local time just six minutes before take-off from from Tehran’s international airport, according to a spokesman, who added that the airplane crashed near Parand, a town 35km south-west of Tehran.
Now, the crash came hours after Iran launched a ballistic missile attack on Iraqi bases housing U.S. soldiers. However, Ukrainian and Iranian officials along with the airport’s spokesman, told the state news agency IRNA that the latest plane disaster was caused by “technical failure following a fire” on board the flight destined for Kyiv, Ali Kashani. It was noted that the plane carried 167 passengers and nine crew members from different nations. Ukraine’s foreign minister, Vadym Prystaiko, said that there were 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians and 11 Ukrainians on board.
Iran’s emergency medical services officials also confirmed that there were no survivors and teams had already begun to collect the bodies of victims.
“We are aware of the media reports out of Iran and we are gathering more information,” Boeing said in a statement.
