One of the hottest real estate agents in Los Angeles, Marco Salari’s passion for real estate runs in his blood

Coming from a family of European & American real estate pedigree, Marco Salari developed a passion for real estate early in his life.

With a childhood immersed in architecture ranging from historic Villas to internationally acclaimed modern European estates, Marco became inherently aware of the value and importance of good architecture.

Prior to embarking on a career in real estate, Marco was a professional basketball player in Italy that brought him to the Italian national team. As that came to a natural close, he moved back to his home in Los Angeles where his grandmother encouraged him to try his hand at real estate. It is the family business, of course. With two decades of real estate under her belt, she gifted him with some sage advice. She explained, “A career in real estate will not only reward you financially but, more importantly, reward you on an emotional level by seeing the joy of finding someone’s perfect home.”

This resonated with Marco and reminded him of his interest in architecture and real estate. It was a serendipitous moment.

When Marco made his decision to embark on the family tradition of real estate, he also made a promise to do so with the same vital values he learned as a youth: the importance of professional service, honesty and unrelenting dedication to each and every client.

As Marco sees it, he is not just selling a house; hes selling a home. With this goal in mind, Marco is able to capitalize on his inherent abilities such as being fluent in several languages, including the language of successfulreal estate transaction negotiations. This, coupled with his magnetic personality and ability to connect with people, has enabled him to establish local and international clients.

“We must not consider ourselves as salesmen. We also have to be honest and true. It is more important to establish a long-term relationship based on mutual trust than to sell something quickly that does not satisfy the customer and ruins the relationship with him,” he explained.

Marco also believes effective real estate agents need to know their market like the back of their hands. “You need to know who is buying them, who sells them, what goes into escrow, and how the banking system works. Forforeigners, if they can have access to concessions in buying a house in the United States,” he said.

As a Luxury Estates Director with Coldwell Banker in Beverly Hills, Salari is quickly establishing himself as a top contender.

This year, Marco Salari was the youngest real estate agent to be nominated as a Rising Star at the Hollywood Reporter’s Los Angeles Power Broker Awards. He was one of only five in a field of over 800,000.

Some recent wins for Salari include a Santa Monica property that received 22 offers. His clients prevailed, which Marco describes as a “hard-fought win” where his guidance was key. He also found a home for Italian model Bianca Balti.

Other notable achievements include the sale of an historic Paul Williams property where Ronald Reagan, the former US President, once lived. It is an elegant Colonial style property with 650 square meters of interior, in a classic style, with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and an oversized swimming pool, in an area outside Beverly Hills. It sold out in just 48 hours.

As Marco continues to dominate the real estate industry, he will continue to work with big names like Coldwell Banker while staying true to his own history and family values.
