Weeks after Lil Durk was acquitted on murder-for-hire charges, his Racketeering (RICO) trial is now postponed, pushed back from October 2026 to August 2027. Meanwhile, his legal team continues pushing for his release with a bond hearing still set for November 4.

As we previously shared, on September 11, the Chicago rapper was found not guilty on all charges in his murder-for-hire trial. Prosecutors accused him of orchestrating a hit on Savannah rapper Quando Rondo.
Additionally, Durk’s co-defendants, Deandre “OTF Dede” Wilson and David “Browneyez” Lindsey, were also found not guilty on the murder-for-hire charge. However, the two were convicted of the stalking and stalking conspiracy counts. Both men are appealing the ruling.
Following Durk’s acquittal in the first trial, his attorney, Drew Findling, called for his release. He told reporters, “Twenty-two months ago, Durk and I made an agreement that we would make history with the greatest verdict in this country, and it happened today. Durk is not guilty of all charges. The shackles must come off, and he must walk free.”
Lil Durk Facing Second Trial For Racketeering After Murder-For-Hire Trial Acquittal
However, Durk still has a second racketeering case. It was severed from the murder-for-hire trial and remains pending. As Durk’s legal team pushes for a bond hearing, it is now reported that the RICO trial has been postponed for nearly a year. Durk was due to stand trial again on Violent Crimes in Aid of Racketeering Activity (VICAR) charges on October 3, 2026.
However, on Tuesday (September 29), XXL reported that a source close to the case revealed the date was pushed back. According to Los Angeles Magazine, the new hearing time is scheduled for August 30, 2027 at 8:30 a.m. Durk’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 4. During that hearing, he will have his bond request reviewed.
