Just hours after Rick Ross was booked in Miami Beach, the Bawse’s legal team came out swinging, saying the rapper is being wrongfully accused and that the whole story is not what it seems… As reported, Ross was arrested by Miami Beach police early Thursday on felony battery by strangulation and misdemeanor battery charges involving domestic violence. Records show he was booked at 6:10 a.m. local time on October 1. Bond was set at $5,000 on the strangulation charge and $1,000 on the battery charge, $6,000 in total.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Ross turned himself in and did not speak to police about the accusations. His attorneys Steve Sadow and Bradley Horenstein provided a statement to TMZ, saying William Roberts II, known to the world as Rick Ross, “is being wrongfully accused by an ex-girlfriend whose true motivations are unclear.” They also pointed out that the woman allegedly did not file a police report until a month after the incident she claims happened.

The lawyers say Ross has pleaded not guilty and asked his friends, fans and the public to “not prejudge the situation” and let the judicial process run its course. Horenstein went on to say the allegations are false, and that Ross is innocent, and that everything is going to come out, and he asked people not to rush to judgment.

More On The Allegations:

On the other side of the story is Jazzma Kendrick, the model and real estate agent who was linked with Ross on and off since 2025. She posted a picture of an injured lip on an Instagram story on September 26, with a caption saying it showed the day Rick busted her lip and the day she left.

She alleged the incident happened about a month earlier. She has also claimed Ross treated her like a “punching bag.”

The allegations in the police account are heavy. Sources tell TMZ that the woman told officers the alleged incident went down on August 28 inside the home they shared. According to her account, she was asleep when Ross woke her up in a jealous rage over a photo she was tagged in on social media.

She claims he accused her of lying and slapped her, then accused her of being involved with someone else and struck her every time she denied it. She also alleges he hit her in the chest several times, choked her until she could not breathe, then grabbed her by the ponytail and slammed her against a wall. Ross had denied all of this.

An arraignment is scheduled for October 22, 2026, and authorities have yet to release the full arrest affidavit. Until that paperwork drops and both sides get their day, the facts remain a tug of war. Ross’ team is asking for patience, Kendrick has made her claims public, and the courts will have the final say.
