Former Fox 2 Detroit anchor Taryn Asher has been caught on camera in an explosive, confrontation with a colleague that is now making rounds on social media.

In the video, which first surfaced via FTVLive and Deadline Detroit, Asher is seen recording a PSA when she begins clashing with someone off-camera—reportedly her boss—over changes made to a script. “See, I mean, I can’t wait for you to go through them all, and then I go through them, because then I’m already getting ready by then,” Asher says in the clip. As the tension spikes and the off-screen individual begins to walk away, Asher can be heard saying, “I don’t think you are. You’re walking out really angry,” before dropping the B-word.

Moments later, she continues the tirade, saying, “Can I please finish what I’m going to say?” followed by, “What the f–k? Grow up.”

Clearly at her wit’s end, Asher then vents to a crew member, declaring, “I’m so done with her antics, telling on me every five seconds. I’m done.”

The timing of this leaked footage is particularly explosive, as it comes right on the heels of Asher filing a sex discrimination lawsuit against the station following her firing last November.

In her legal filing, Asher claims she began facing unfair treatment shortly after Paul McGonagle took over as station manager in July 2025. She alleges a clear bias in how the station operated, specifically pointing to her co-anchor, Roop Raj, receiving more favorable treatment.

“Around the time of Mr. McGonagle’s hiring,” the suit states, “Asher noticed an alarming pattern of female employees in leadership positions being terminated and replaced by men and, further, noticed that Fox treated Asher’s male counterpart and co-anchor, Roop Raj, more favorably than her by, among other things, providing Mr. Raj with more guest interview segment opportunities on the evening news than Asher.”
