A Black Woman Was Found Dead In A Parked Police Van After Missing For 12 Days

A Black woman was reported missing for 12 days before she was found dead in a parked police van in Huntsville, Alabama.

Huntsville Police Department released surveillance footage that shows someone believed to be Christina Nance, 29 getting into a van parked outside the police headquarters. Another officer states he was walking past an old police van that isn’t being used anymore and noticed Nance’s body. Now her family, is currently being represented by attorney Ben Crump, because they seem to think something sounds fishy about this story and they are looking for answers.

“We will get to the truth of what happened to Christina Nance,” Crump shared in a tweet. “We lift up Christina’s family with prayer as they mourn this devastating loss.”

In the Friday press conference the Deputy Police Chief, DeWayne McCarver says the footage shows someone wandering in the parking lot then getting into the police van on September 25th and then all you see is movement in the van until September 28th. But the family says that information doesn’t add up because they saw her on September 27th.

The family has stated that the footage doesn’t show clear footage that it could be Nance getting into the Police van they still have not got any other answers.

“The dates was off, the times was off on the video. It was unsettling to know that we came down here for video footage for confirmation and we felt as if we didn’t get that,” Nance’s sister Whitney Nance shared. .

Police Chief, McCarver stated in a press release that Nance shouldn’t have been able to get into the van.

“It is an accountability issue on our part,” the deputy chief said. “That should not have happened. And now we have to look at that, and we have to make sure that we have things in place so that does not happen again.” McCarver added, “cars go by, people walk nearby the van, we just wish that she would have hollered out to someone or something because unfortunately there were what we see as potential opportunities for this to not be a tragedy.”
