Target, Kroger & More Will Still Require Masks In States Lifting Mandates

While states like Texas, Mississippi and Alabama, etc. are lifting their mandates (against federal health officials’ warnings), stores like Target, Kroger, Aldi, Marcy’s, and more will still require patrons to wear masks upon entry. Carmakers like Toyota and General Motors are among the firms in Texas who will maintain rules as well.

A Target spokesperson tells Insider, “Those who have been vaccinated for coronavirus are still required to wear a mask and follow all social distancing guidelines, in line with current CDC guidance.” Meanwhile, Kroger says it’ll require masks for both customers and employees “until all our frontline grocery associates can receive the COVID-19 vaccine.”
