Republican Who Donated Millions To Investigate Voter Fraud Is Still Begging For A Refund
Fred Eshelman, a Republican man from North Carolina, is still begging for a refund after he donated millions to investigate voter fraud in the 2020 election.
Eshelman, who donated $2.5 million to True the Vote, a conservative nonprofit group based in Texas, tells The Washington Post, “I thought about the range of possibilities around vote fraud. There was already noise around cities like Detroit, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Philadelphia. I wanted to determine if this was legit. Can we find a real smoking gun?”

However, Eshelman wasn’t knowledgable about the organization ahead of his generous donation, and now he’s regretting his decision as he files a lawsuit against them. Along with Eshelman’s money and countless others’, True the Vote wasted their funds as they ended up failing and discontinuing their cases. When Eshelman first asked for his money back, the group offered $1 million. Since, Eshelman has filed two lawsuits — one of which, a federal suit, he’s withdrawn. His Texas state suit is still open and claims the organization misused his money, which they deny. Currently, he’s without any refunds. #Socialites, thoughts?
