The search for a missing woman has come to a devastating end. Paige Coffey, who vanished in 2019, was finally located on April 17.
A Grim Discovery
According to local reports, Coffey’s remains were discovered inside a garbage bag at a vacant property in Cleveland. The discovery was made around 12:15 p.m. by workers who were in the middle of cleaning up the site, according to Local 12 News.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the remains, marking a tragic conclusion to a case that has remained cold for years. As of now, the official cause and manner of death are still under investigation.
Timeline of Disappearance
Paige Coffey was just 27 years old when she was reported missing by her family on May 17, 2019. The alarm was first raised when she failed to contact her family for Mother’s Day, which they noted was completely out of character for her. Surveillance footage from May 7, 2019, showed Coffey at a Home Depot in Steelyard Commons.
In that footage, she was seen with a man she was dating at the time.
In 2025, that same man was officially identified as a person of interest. Reports indicate the couple had recently reconciled just before she went missing.
No arrests have been made in connection with her death as investigators work to piece together how her remains ended up at the vacant home and what happened in the final moments of her life
