#IStandWithGayle Trends After Gayle King Receives Death Threats Over Kobe Bryant Interview
Gayle King has always been known as the beloved journalist and host of CBS This Morning who always provided viewers with great interviews. However, it’s safe to say that people’s perspective on Gayle has changed after the network released its new interview with her and WNBA star Lisa Leslie, where the two discussed Kobe Bryant’s legacy.

As we previously reported, Gayle asked Lisa if she thought the late star’s 2003 rape case “complicated his legacy.” Viewers found the question to be extremely disrespectful and uncalled for. Folks were so upset that they even wanted Gayle to be “canceled.” Some also sent her death threats, according to Oprah.
While people still seem to be very upset with the 65-year-old, there are many who are standing by her side including, actress Rose McGowan, comedian Amy Shumer, and former U.S. ambassador Susan Rice along with many others. Social media users have even created the new trending hashtag #IStandWithGayle, in an attempt to show her some love and support. However, it doesn’t look the hashtag is going as planned. Here’s what some people are tweeting,

Y'all I looooove me some @SnoopDogg but come on.
You can't threaten or say things to @GayleKing like that. Do you really think Kobe, Lord rest him, would want you to say such things?
That's the "Trump Way" & NO ONE needs more of that in this world. #IStandWithGayle #SnoopDog— Real Women Love Hockey #🟦 (@legh6987) February 10, 2020

#IStandWithGayle <<<<The most disgusting hashtag I've ever seen 🤮. This has nothing to do about us "supporting black women with a voice" This woman LITERALLY made a distasteful attempt at disrespecting the late Kobe Bryant… Literally wtf!!
