While talking about the president’s UNGA speech, where he defended the U.S. role in the Iran conflict and doubled down on not wanting to “stifle growth” around AI, Melania gave her honest take.
“I told him he had great delivery, he did very well, and a great speech,” she said. But then she added, “Sometimes he doesn’t want to hear it, what I tell him, but that’s OK. I always say the truth.”
She’s been sticking to this narrative for a minute. Back during the 2016 campaign, she told Morning Joe straight up that she doesn’t agree with him all the time and she tells him so, adding that sometimes he listens and sometimes he don’t. A decade later, nothing’s really changed…
She also used the moment to tease something new: a multipart Fox News docuseries following up on her Amazon-backed documentary, “Melania,” which dropped earlier this year covering the 20 days before the inauguration. This next project, she says, is going deeper, more one-on-one, more personal. “It’s more conversation one-on-one with me,” she explained, hinting that the director asked her questions nobody’s heard her answer before.
Whether Trump’s actually taking her advice to heart is a whole other story, but she’s making it clear: she’s not biting her tongue for nobody, not even the President of the United States.,.
