Agustin Lucas Mariani,20, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the death of Delfina Pan. Miami Beach Police said Mariani fatally stabbed Pan in front of her apartment  Monday night after he waited for her to come home. Mariani reportedly wanted to talk to Pan outside but she refused, leading him to stab her several times. Afterward, he stabbed himself in the chest but the injury was non-fatal.

Mariani and Pan worked at the Kansas Bar & Grill restaurant and police added that a knife was missing from the establishment. Other workers from the restaurant said Mariani was very quiet and kept to himself most of the time. On the day of the stabbing, Pan left work early and Mariani followed her even though he was scheduled to work a double shift.
