Sheriff Micahel Bouchard said Jennifer and James Crumbley have appeared to be in a bad mood since their arrival at the Oakland County Jail. He said “They’re not talking much to us. We’ve not seen any remorse.”
As we previously reported, the couple was arrested Saturday morning in Detroit, Michigan after hiding out in an art studio. The couple took out $4,000 and turned off their phones after learning about Ethan’s arrest. Authorities have also identified a person of interest who allegedly helped the couple hide out in the studio.

They are accused of holding certain information from officials after a teacher informed them of their son’s disturbing drawings she found on his desk. Additionally, the pistol used during the school shooting was purchased by James the day after Thanksgiving.
The couple pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and are currently held on a $500,000 bond.
