Feds Seize Over 100 Devices In R. Kelly Trial, New Charges Expected
In the R. Kelly Chicago rape case, feds have seized over 100 electronic devices from the singer, causing the next trial date to be postponed until October, as new charges are expected.
While Kelly pleaded not guilty to the revised 13 federal charges against him on Thursday (Mar 5), prosecutor Angel Krull alluded that other victims may arise; this as federal agents discovered more than 100 hard drives, iPads and cell phones locked up in a Chicago storage facility.

Speaking on the feds’ discovery, Kelly’s defense attorney Steve Greenberg reacted to the’ haul, stating, “We expect that they’re not going to find anything incriminating.” However, U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber has pushed Kelly’s April 27 trial to October 13; allowing room for any possible new charges, which may supersede the latest 13-count indictment.
Furthermore, said indictment was unsealed last month, and features charges of: child pornography, sexual exploitation of children, coercion or enticement of a female, and conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government.
