Prophet Israel Ford, his first wife Lydia Ford and second wife Shakayla Talley Ford are speaking out and explains more about their polygamous/polyamorous lifestyle, its benefits, and why they now decided to “come out.”
As we previously shared, the Ohio pastor recently publicly announced he married his second wife. On Sunday (October 25), Israel — who leads the LifeWorks Church in Wickliffe, Ohio — came out and introduced his second wife, Shakayla. Israel shared a clip of himself and his wives on his Facebook. In the caption, he wrote:
“I would like to introduce to the world, my second wife, Shakayla Ford!!! As a nation we have been taught that a man should have one wife only. This is unbiblical. I encourage you to watch today’s sermon in its entirety (uploaded later this week). I understand that this is an unpopular truth that we have gotten away from and many Pastors will not preach. I have no plans to choose pleasing man over what God has revealed. People may not accept this and choose to disconnect, and that is ok! This life will be over soon and we can all laugh about it in Heaven. Until then, God bless. Exodus 21:10 NKJV. #lifeworkschurch #whereworshipislife.”
In the clip, Israel appeared with Lydia and Shakayla at his side, argued against the belief that a man should only have one wife. He said that the Bible does not support the belief. He also said he believes that Americans have learned that a man should have only one wife. However, he believes that that teaching is “unbiblical.”
Days later, the throuple have now appeared in an interview with Larry Reid, who asked them all about their lifestyle, its benefits, and why they all decided to “come out” about it.
