A Louisiana State University freshman was allegedly raped at gunpoint inside an on-campus dormitory in Baton Rouge, according to a report citing university police and an arrest warrant.
Ronald White, 21, was arrested and booked on felony rape and firearm-related charges after police responded to an alleged sexual assault at Spruce Hall, a residence hall on the LSU campus. The charges stem from an incident reported Friday evening, October 23.
According to the New York Post, the alleged victim told investigators that she had gone to Spruce Hall earlier that night to visit a friend. Police said the friend later invited a male acquaintance to the room, and that man arrived with White.
The alleged victim reportedly told officers that White suggested they leave the room so the other two people could have privacy. She said she followed him to a study room inside the building.
Once inside, White allegedly pulled out a black handgun and forced her to perform oral sex, according to the arrest warrant cited by the Post. The woman reportedly told police that White later instructed her to retrieve a paper towel.
Instead, authorities say, she went to the dormitory lobby and asked someone to contact police. When officers arrived, White allegedly ran from the building. Police said they later found him hiding beneath a parked vehicle.
Investigators reportedly found approximately seven grams of marijuana on him, but did not recover a firearm.
White has denied threatening the woman.
According to court documents reviewed by the New York Post, he told authorities that the sexual activity was consensual and that he never displayed a weapon or forced the alleged victim to participate.
White’s arrest also drew attention to a previous incident involving him on the LSU campus. The Post reported that he was arrested in 2024 after allegedly threatening to shoot a Wendy’s employee. Those charges were later dropped.
The latest allegations remain part of an ongoing criminal case, and White is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
The investigation is continuing, and authorities have not publicly confirmed whether the alleged weapon has been identified or recovered.
