Waffle House Waitress Arrested For Smoking Crystal Meth In Bathroom

A Louisiana woman was arrested after she was allegedly caught smoking crystal meth in the men’s restroom at her workplace.

Candace Townsend,31, was caught by members of the Monroe Police Department’s HEAT team after receiving a call about a Waffle House waitress smoking in the men’s bathroom around 4 am Saturday. When she was confronted, Townsend attempted to flee from the scene after telling them that she was simply using the bathroom.

After police searched through the bathroom, Townsend ran back in and grabbed a pink and white bag that was left on the counter then tried to hide it behind her back.

However, police brought Townsend in for questioning and she eventually confessed to smoking meth in the bathroom and possessing marijuana in her bag. As they searched through her bag, officers found two bags of crystal meth, a bag of marijuana, two Subtex pills, and a recently used glass meth pipe.

She was arrested and charged with drug possession and several other charges. Townsend is currently being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center, it is unclear if Waffle House has released a statement in reference to Townsend’s arrest.
