An Idaho man was filmed opening fire in an In-N-Out Burger parking lot in Twin Falls on Saturday (August 1) afternoon, around 2 p.m. According to NBC News, a spokesperson said at least 3 people are dead and 2 others injured in the shooting. Josh Palmer, Twin Falls spokesperson, also reported the restaurant had just opened last weekend on July 24.
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks told reporters that the suspect has been neutralized, meaning he is dead and no longer a threat to the public. It is unclear if the gunman is part of the 3 deceased. Furthermore, Chief Hicks said police are still working to identify the suspect shooter and his motive.
According to viral videos, the suspected shooter opened fire on a Tesla parked at a Supercharger station. The incident occurred nearby an In-N-Out and shopping center in Twin Falls. The suspected gunman fired three shots into the front windshield of the charging electric car. He then walked off and began running alongside the permitter of the parking lot.

In another viral video, what appears to possibly be a second man is seen wielding a gun and firing shots outside the In-N-Out. Social media users speculated this was a bystander attempting to take down the initial suspect. However, police are still working to confirm these reports.
In-N-Out’s Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick has since issued the following statement to the media:
“We are heartbroken. Our prayers go out to our Customers, our Associates, and all of their families. We are working with the Twin Falls Police Department to assist in the on-going investigation.”
