UPDATE: Usain Bolt Fires Business Manager After $12M Goes Missing From Savings Account, Leaving Him With $12K
Almost two weeks ago, we shared that Bolt had threatened that somebody was getting sued after an alleged fraud scheme saw his savings account go from $12 million to $12,000.
Lawyers for the eight-time Olympic Gold-Medalist said that the total amount missing was more than $12.8 million, and that an FBI investigation had been launched to find out what happened with his money.

It is reported that the former track star’s savings account was opened back in 2012 with a Jamaican investment firm in Kingston called, Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL).
Unfortunately, it is also reported that Bolt is just one of over 30 alleged victims affected in the alleged scheme, that is estimated at $3 billion. To make matters even worse, SSL claims that they only have $1 million in insurance for the investments that it managed.
Upon the investigation launch, Bolt, who retired from athletics back in 2017, gave the Jamaican firm a 10-day deadline to return his money, or they will have to face civil and criminal action.
One of Bolt’s lawyers, Linton P. Gordon, claimed that his client had made zero withdrawals or transfers from the account, and that it served as a “private pension,” being “a part of [his] retirement and lifetime savings.”

Now, as of last week Friday (January 27), Bolt has since revealed that he has fired his business manager over the scandal, further noting that the split was not amicable at all. Bolt revealed how incredibly hurt he was personally.
He added, “I’m not broke, but it’s definitely put a damper on me. It was for my future. Everybody knows I have three kids. I’m still looking out for my parents, and I still want to live very well.” Bolt also noted how sorry he felt for SSL’s elderly customers who have been affected by the alleged fraud, claiming it’s a “sad situation.”
