UPDATE: Missing 6-year-old Faye Swetlik’s Body Discovered

The body of 6-year-old Faye Swetlik, who went missing on Monday outside her home in South Carolina has been found.

“It is with extremely heavy hearts that we are announcing that we found a body that the coroner has identified as Faye Marie Swetlik,” said Chief Byron Snellgrove of the Cayce Department of Public Safety. “At this time no arrests have been made, we need you to know that this is a fluid investigation and we are working diligently.”

Police are treating the incident as a murder, they also found a body of a man during their search of the area.

A deceased male was found during the search, the police chief said, and that the investigation is only beginning.
“There is no danger to the community at this time,” police added.
Faye Swetlik was last seen playing in the front yard of her home around 3:33 p.m. on Londonberry Lane on Monday after she got off the school bus. Chilling surveillance footage from the bus shows her getting off before she disappeared.
