Teacher Arrested After Throwing Student Out Of Classroom

A Florida middle school teacher was arrested after cellphone footage captured him grabbing a student and threw him into the hallway.

The New York Post reports Jeffrey Paffumi,47, confronted the student in a classroom at the Buddy Taylor Middle School on Tuesday then grabbed him from his desk and brought him to the door. The video shows Paffumi tossing the student into a hallway and shoved him. Deputies arrived at the school on Wednesday after the boy told his parents about Paffumi’s aggressive behavior.

A statement was released by Flagler Schools Superintendent James Tager:

“The actions of this teacher are not consistent with how we expect our educators to act and behave and it will not be tolerated. We immediately removed Mr. Paffumi from the classroom following the incident and placed him on leave pending an investigation.”
