Fans can’t get enough of SZA, from her incredible vocals to her flawless face card and super snatched body. But now, the songstress is opening up about one thing she regrets doing to enhance her appearance.
In a new cover story for British Vogue, the 35-year-old admitted she regrets getting a BBL, which is a cosmetic surgery where fat is transferred from different parts of the body through liposuction and injected into your booty.
She expressed her frustration, saying, “I’m so mad I did that s***. I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid.” SZA continued to reflect, “But who gives a f***? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the sh*t. It doesn’t matter.”
Despite her regrets, she made it clear she’s still living her life on her own terms. “I’ll do a whole bunch more shit just like it if I want to before I’m f***ing dead because this body is temporary. It just wasn’t super necessary – I have other s*** that I need to work on about myself… I need to get my f***ing mental health together…”

But don’t get it twisted; she still loves the results. The star noted, “I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.”
SZA isn’t alone in her feelings; many female stars like Amber Rose, Blac Chyna, and even K. Michelle have opened up about their dissatisfaction with BBLs and have shared their journeys to either removing or reducing their butt sizes. Chyna’s who’s undergone butt shots as well previously made a PSA to young fans. She said at the time,
“A BBL is when they use your own fat, ass shots is silicone,” she said before warning her followers: “So I just want all the ladies out there to know, do not get silicone shots because you can get sick, you can die, have complications and all this other crazy stuff.”
