Social Media Slams The Hell Out Of Tucker Carlson After Claiming Derek Chauvin Did Not Murder George Floyd

Former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has lost his mind…The controversial commentator sparked outrage on social media after expressing support for ex-Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was convicted of murdering George Floyd. Carlson’s controversial remarks during his talk show on X have ignited widespread criticism.

During the segment, Carlson reiterated his belief that Chauvin did not murder Floyd, claiming that the former officer’s actions were not the cause of Floyd’s death. He suggested that Floyd likely died of a drug overdose, citing reports claiming presence of fatal levels of fentanyl in his system. “One of the great moral atrocities in the last several years was taking place right before us and very few are remarking upon it. And it has to with Derek Chauvin,” he said. “The problem is he did not murder George Floyd. And we know that conclusively, because the medical examiner who performed the autopsy on George Floyd, confirmed he was not asphyxiated,” he claimed.

Rightfully so, Carlson’s remarks were met with immediate backlash on social media platforms. Users condemned his attempt to downplay the significance of Floyd’s death and accused him of perpetuating harmful narratives that undermine the fight against racial injustice. Hashtags such as #TuckerCarlson and #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd began trending as users expressed their outrage and disappointment in Carlson’s stance and false statements.

One person said, “Remarks like those made by Tucker Carlson about the George Floyd and Derek Chauvin incident demonstrate the lack of empathy and a denial of racial inequality. These types of statements perpetuate the harmful ideology of white supremacy, which continues to persist in our society today and is a perfect example of why racism remains an ongoing issue that cannot simply be ignored or dismissed.” Rolland Martin even chimed in and said, “We all know this but @TuckerCarlson is a worthless, lying piece of shit. Of course he would rise to defend the murder of George Floyd, former cop Derek Chauvin.” A third said, “People like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens really annoy the hell out of me with their ridiculous gaslighting. Everyone saw with own eyes how George Floyd died. Quit trying to change history.”

This controversy also reignited the ongoing debate about media responsibility and the potential influence of influential figures like Carlson. Critics argue that by providing a platform for Carlson’s controversial views specifically on X (formally Twitter,) risk normalizing harmful narratives that perpetuate racial biases and undermine the pursuit of justice.

In a May 25, 2020, confrontation captured on video by onlookers, Chauvin pushed his knee into the neck of Floyd, 46, while Chauvin and three fellow officers were attempting to arrest Floyd, who was accused of simply usuing a fake $20 bill to buy cigarettes at a grocery store. The horrific murder sparked outrage and protest across the world.

Chauvin, now 47, was ultimately found guilty by a 12-member jury in April 2021 of three charges of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter following a three-week trial that included testimony from 45 witnesses, including bystanders police officers as well as medical experts.

Most recently, The U.S. Supreme Court on declined to hear an appeal by former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin of his conviction for the murder of George Floyd during a 2020 arrest. Chauvin, who is white, is serving a 22-1/2 year prison sentence for murdering Floyd.

  1. What a f*cling joke. The truth will come out about this so called “murder.” While Floyd had a career criminal record, including holding a gun to a pregnant woman’s abdomen, he continued to make poor choice after poor choice.

    Chauvin’s knee was actually on the back of his shoulder. This is a trained hold and well known by LE. Floyd couldn’t breathe because of prior fent use, among other drugs in his system.

    If he were truly getting his neck and throat crushed, he would’ve been dead within three to four minutes. He was still moving and talking throughout. It’s easily seen on several of the suppressed video angles. What’s shown to the public is not at all what happened. It’s orchestrated by media and fueled by BLM.

    ‘The Fall of Minneapolis’ is a good place to start, but there will be plenty more on this – coming out within the next few months to year end. Derek Chauvin was absolutely railroaded.

    • BINGO. This has to get out and cleared up. Floyd’s death, while tragic, was a drug overdose. What a con job they did to the American people.

    • Dereck did not murder anyone ,the vain-glorious mayor Fry jumped the gun and immediately fired the officers. All of the people who believed GF was murdered needs to read the original autopsy report, that tells the real story. The mayor, the chief of police, the attorney general threw these boys under the bus and allowed the the crowd to burn Minneapolis. There is much much more that people need to know besides a 10 minute film. Many lives were ruined for nothing.
