Mother Of Flo Rida’s Son Claims Rapper Is Not Helping Out With Medical Bills Even After The Child’s Accidental Fall From Apartment Window

As it was previously reported, rapper Flo Rida’s 6-year-old son Zohar Dillard fell from a five-story New Jersey apartment complex earlier this month and although he’s recovering from his injuries, the family is dealing with even more problems.

The child’s mother, Alexis Adams recently went ahead and filed a lawsuit against the management company, saying the equipment they installed in her window didn’t keep her son safe. Her attorney says that although the 6-year-old is in stable condition he’s still suffering from serious injuries. “Fractured pelvis, shattered pelvis, liver lacerations, internal bleeding, punctured lungs,” attorney Steven Haddad explained. Alexis Adams believes more precautions should have been taken. “The window guard that was requested didn’t get installed, instead they put a window stopper and the window stopper wasn’t long enough to prevent the window opening large enough to let Zohar, unfortunately, fall out,” Haddad said.

Further into the suit, Adams says Flo Rida, born Tramar Dillard has allegedly not assisted with Zohar’s health insurance costs as mandated by a 2018 court-ordered child support agreement… even despite the horrific incident that occurred, per Insider. Although a representative for Flo Rida did not immediately respond to these allegations, Adams says she’s ultimately sharing her story to prevent another tragedy.

“We put out this press statement because we wanted to warn others about what to do in the situation,” Haddad explained. Zohar’s mom also released a statement saying in part, “As a single mum to a special needs child this feels like a nightmare. My heart is broken into a million pieces. I am devastated, angry, and struggling to come to terms with the fact that my only child has suffered severe injuries due to the wilful negligence of our landlord and others involved in failing to take necessary safety measures.”

Adams is asking for an undisclosed amount of money in the lawsuit.

More On Their Child Support Issue

According to Insider citing a 2021 affidavit, Adams also had an unpaid tuition balance of over $200,000 with Zohar’s school which Flo Rida was asked to pay, and which she previously claimed she cannot afford. In recent court docs from November 2022, showed a lawyer for Dillard argued against the judge’s orders to pay for education, saying he actually couldn’t afford it. However, by December 2022, Dillard’s team had asked the court to reduce his monthly child support payment.

A judge will need to determine whether Dillard has been skipping out on education payments and whether he owes expenses for Zohar. As the news site notes, a hearing date has not been set.

Now, aside from those allegations, Flo Rida, 43, did speak out to thank his fans for their support following the scary fall. The rapper took to his Instagram story to share an update on the tot’s condition, and revealed it was a “great day” as he “undergoes rehabilitation” in the coming days.

“Great day, thank you to everyone who reached out with their concerns and prayers for my son,” he wrote on his social media per Page Six. He added that Zohar “is getting the best medical care and miraculously survived a tragic fall.” The caring dad concluded his message by asking fans for “continued prayers” and to let the situation “remain a private matter.”
