As Lil Wayne congratulated fellow Cash Money artist B.G. on his recent engagement, the Young Money head honcho confirmed he’s back with Madison “Madi” Cannon, and also engaged, after previously breaking things off.
In late May 2026, reports began surfacing claiming Lil Wayne, who turned 44 on September 27, had secretly proposed to a 23-year-old woman from Indiana. She was later identified as Madi Cannon.
The two had been spotted backstage at his concerts and in photos on Madi’s social media. However, by July 5, 2026, Wayne had posted a video denying the engagement rumors. He also announced that he had split from Madi. In the clip, he said:
“I would like to clear something up. No, I’m not engaged. No. No. I had a beautiful thing going with an amazing person, but, obviously, due to the validity of the temperature of today’s crazy world and culture, I considered I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So, we’ve decided to part. Sucks. But, no, I’m not engaged.”

Fast forward to September 13, 2026, when Cash Money rapper B.G. proposed to girlfriend, Brooke Jones. During the Cash Money & No Limit Tour stop in New Orleans, he got engaged. On Monday evening (September 28), B.G. shared a video on his Instagram of Wayne congratulating him. In the clip, Wayne held the camera and Madi later popped into the frame.
Wayne said, “Congratulations, b*tch! And I’m marrying this one. This is Madison. This is my fiancée.” Madi chimed in, “Congratulations!” Wayne added, “Congratulations! Let us know what color we wearing. I’m the best man, you heard me.” Wayne and Madison laughed together, before he ended the clip and told B.G., “Love you, b*tch.” B.G. captioned the post, “My lil brodie gave me his blessings @liltunechi.”
Shortly after, Madison took to her Instagram Story with photos of her and Wayne. She captioned the post:
“Youuuu!!!! You deserve to be celebrated everyday! You’re the best thing my heart has ever known. Love u past life ❤️🔥.”
