Hollywood Unlocked was in the building for Netflix and Universal’s Fast & Furious: Spy Racers on Dec. 7 at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
The upcoming American animated web television series is the latest in the Fast franchise and will be premiering on Netflix for younger audiences.
The plot revolves around Tony Toretto, who is Dominic Toretto’s cousin. He is recruited by a government agency with his friends to infiltrate an elite racing league who are serving as a front for a crime organization called SH1FT3R that is bent on world domination.
The series stars Tyler Posey, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Camille Ramsey, Luke Youngblood, Charlet Chung and Jorge Diaz. Diesel’s daughter, Similce, also makes a few appearances!
We spoke to the cast and crew who shared their excitement for the series and shed light on how it brings to life the elements from the Fast movies in animation. Vin Diesel also shared how the idea came about and the work that went into the creation of the latest Fast installment.
The series is executive produced by Tim Hedrick, Bret Haaland, Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, and Chris Morgan. Hedrick and Haaland also serve as the show’s show runners.
