EJ Johnson, Magic Johnson’s son and self-proclaimed fashion guru, hopped online and took a little jab at fashion icon Rihanna over her grand entrance at the Dior show. And let’s just say the internet was not here for any of that!
Here’s how it started… After the Paris Fashion Week runway show EJ gave a recap of bis experience. He praised the collection but said the show started an hour late because Rihanna was late. Then came the line that lit the fuse: “we didn’t care to wait for her.” Like huh!?
Just hours after that clip made its rounds, Hollywood Fix posted a video showing EJ being denied entry to a hotel, reportedly the one he was staying at. In the video, a visibly nervous EJ fidgets at the door, trying to figure out why he’s being blocked. Of course fans wasted no time calling the moment “instant karma.” Rihanna herself caught wind of it and left a one-word comment: “damn.” Fans took it as her own subtle way of shading him right back. Still, longtime fans say EJ got off easy, since Riri’s clap backs were way more brutal back in the day.
ohhh she’s messy 😭 https://t.co/ihquM33CGL— 𝖌𝖆𝖇 (@gabgonebad) October 3, 2026
EJ been weird to Rihanna let’s not act as if this his first attempt to doing weird shit… He seen another moment to be a messy bottom and went for it!— 444 🍃 💨 (@ClearlyDgaf_) October 3, 2026

Now, this isn’t the first time EJ has put Rih in his commentary. Earlier this year, his 2026 Met Gala recap took shots at Rihanna and Beyoncé, whom he said fell short on a carpet they usually dominate. Two big shots at two of the biggest names in Black pop culture in one year. Fans took notes.
You know the internet didn’t waste anytime letting EJ have it. Commenters called it karma in real time, with one user dryly asking why a man who had plenty to say on his livestream suddenly had nothing to say at the door. Another summed up the whole mood in a sentence: “Everyone is laughing at him.” Others joked that EJ went from not waiting on Rihanna to waiting on a front desk.
It also helps that Rihanna has history with this exact subject. Back in 2022, when someone yelled “you’re late” at her outside Dior, she turned and said, “No s—.” That clip racked up millions of views and became a permanent fan favorite. To her supporters, being fashionably late is part of the Rihanna brand, and she’s been the main character at Dior for years.
Clearly, Rihanna moves on her own time, and EJ just learned the whole world is on that schedule.
