Hollywood Unlocked was in the building as Wanderluxxe hosted their second annual pre-Emmys brunch celebrating diversity in Hollywood!


Hollywood is buzzing with celebrities right now as the 2019 Emmy awards are set to take place on Sunday.

But before that happened, Wanderluxxe was back with their second annual pre-Emmy brunch celebrating diversity at Craig’s in Hollywood.

The purpose of the event was to honor those who have been instrumental in ensuring that diversity and inclusion in the film and entertainment space are there.

This year, Wanderluxxe partnered with Color of Change, an online company that has been instrumental in civil rights advocacy.

During the luncheon, Color of Chance founder Rashad Robinson took to the podium to talk about what sparked his interest in creating this company. He shared that they are working with some of the biggest names to ensure the African American voice is being seen and heard in all spaces.

Actress Tichina Arnold was the event moderator who spoke about all of the nominees who were receiving awards.

This year’s nominees were Jharrel Jerome, Asante Blackk, Kris Bower, and Niecy Nash.

Jharrel Jerome and Asante Blackk know for their most recent role in the Netflix Series “When They See Us” alongside Niecy Nash.

While Kris Bower was not front and center in “When They See Us, he was the man behind the score for the film.

Overall The film is nominated for 17 Emmy awards in group and individual categories.
