‘Harry Potter’ Star Helen McCrory Dies At 52

Helen McCrory, the British actor best known for her work in the show Peaky Blinders and for playing Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, has died of cancer.

Her death was announced in a statement posted to Twitter by her husband, actor Damian Lewis:

“I’m heartbroken to announce that after a heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family,” Lewis, 50, tweeted. “She died as she lived,” Lewis continued. “Fearlessly. God, we loved her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.” McCrory who also starred in the James Bond film “Skyfall” as was just 52.

According to The Sun, Lewis shares two young children with McCrory, daughter Manon, 14, and son Gulliver, 13. The couple tied the knot in 2007 after meeting on the production of “Five Gold Rings” at London’s Almeida Theatre in 2003.

She will be greatly missed.
