Several videos of Hadid getting sprayed on are going viral and it makes total sense because the idea is so creative and so cool to watch.
Closing the show, Hadid walked out in nude underwear and heels as she covered her breasts with her right arm. As she stepped up onto a well-lit platform, several scientists began to spray her with a liquid that turned into a wearable dress.

Now, the spray-on technique was developed by Spanish fashion designer and scientist Manel Torres, via his company Fabrican. It is reported that Fabrican liquid contains cotton or synthetic fibers suspended in a polymer solution that eventually evaporates once it comes into contact with the body.
To make things even cooler, after wearing the fibers, it can later be removed and turned back into a solution, ready for reuse.

Ahead of the show, Coperni co-founders Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant had been working with Fabrican’s Manel Torres and his team at London’s Bioscience Innovation Centre. For the past six months, they have been developing the spray-on dress that Bella Hadid modeled for Paris Fashion Week.
Meyer, who also serves as the creative director, said, “It’s our duty as designers to try new things and show a possible future. We’re not going to make money on this, but it’s a beautiful moment — an experience that creates emotion.”
Meanwhile Vaillant, who is also CEO, says, “In fashion you always need this dream and this pragmatism. We are creative but of course there are constraints. When we launched Coperni, we really wanted to have fun. We knew we wanted to fulfill a passion and enjoy it. We are not saving lives!”

In addition to the spray-on dress modeled by Bella Hadid, this year’s Coperni fashion show also presented a solid gold version of its Swipe bag; trousers and skirts featuring internal padding on the hips and bottom (mocking the bodacious bottoms of Instagram models and certain female celebrities).
They also had various garments covered in fragments of glass, and holographic floral garments and accessories.

While speaking on the growth of the fashion brand, Vaillant says, “It’s all gradual. We started off with presentations when we launched, then we moved onto shows. We started pre-collections when we felt ready, first as small capsules. You know, we didn’t want to do it to be really commercial and be told, ‘you need [to produce] this jacket in this color.’”
Meyer adds, “Sometimes when you grow too fast, you lose that down-to-earth, small team energy. We want to grow but we want to keep that feeling.”
Vaillant then adds, “Also you always work better with constraints in fashion, whether it’s time or money. I think about these beautiful brands like Isabel Marant and Jacquemus, they took their time. We definitely want to push further, open a store one day, launch a perfume — that’s my dream.”
