The supermodel protested in the streets to speak out against the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in Gaza and posted clips on her Instagram under the highlight “FREE PALESTINE”. Israeli officials spotted her social media posts discussing the protests and criticized Hadid on their official Twitter page with accompanying screenshots of the model’s Instagram Live. It reads, “When celebrities like @BellaHadid advocate for throwing Jews into the sea, they are advocating for the elimination of the Jewish State, This shouldn’t be an Israeli-Palestinian issue. This should be a human issue. Shame on you.”

According to Page Six, Bella Hadid’s father, Mohamed Hadid, is Palestinian and he also marched alongside his daughter in the protest in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn.
