Caresha is not mad, but she is definitely a little confused. Yung Miami is opening up about the silence she got from Drake after trying to lock him in for the remix of her smash “Spend Dat.”
In a new sit-down with Hot 97, the City Girls rapper revealed that her outreach landed nowhere. “Drake left me on read. I’m like, ‘Drake, what did I do?’ I love Drake… Just tell me no. I’m good with the no, but leaving me on read is like, what?” she said.
As many can remember, back in June on the carpet at BET Awards, she told Complex exactly who she wanted on the record. “You gotta stay tuned for that, but I really want Drake,” she said, going on to call him Champagne Papi and Iceman and joking that he needed to pick up the phone.

Longtime followers know this isn’t the first time. Earlier in June, Miami told Cam Newton on his Funky Friday podcast that she’d slid into Drake’s DMs about hopping on her unreleased track “Take Me to Chanel.” His response was a like on the message and nothing more. “He just liked the thing,” she recalled, and she reminded him that when he called her, she was there.
Drake and the City Girls linked up on “In My Feelings,” the 2018 Scorpion cut that spent ten weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 and basically turned the entire world into a dance challenge.
Now Miami doesn’t really need the Drizzy co-sign. “Spend Dat” came out in late April and became her biggest solo run on the Hot 100, climbing as high as No. 17 according to Hot 97, and it also hit No. 1 at urban radio.
Rihanna was caught singing along to it and even FaceTimed Miami mid-moment. The crowd at the BET Awards sang the chorus word for word when she showed up to present. She didn’t leave the remix on the shelf either. Lil Baby and Kodak Black came through on one version, and Davido, Shenseea, and Vybz Kartel showed up on an international edition.
So where does that leave the Miami and Drake situation? Honestly, in a very familiar spot. Drake has been busy with his own Iceman run this year and may simply have bigger fish to fry, or maybe he just hasn’t gotten around to answering. Either way, Miami is staying classy about it, keeping the door open without making it a feud.
