Anti-Vaccine Protester Threatens To Vandalize Black Lives Matter Street
A group of individuals who go by the name “People’s Convoy,” formed by a group of anti-vaccine truckers and their supporters, hosted a protest on March 18 in Washington, D.C. and threatened to vandalize Black Lives Matter Street.

According to The Daily Beast, the organization was protesting vaccine mandates and other COVID policies, which have lessened all over the country the past few weeks. A speaker said to a crowd, “What’s going to happen up here in D.C.: Black Lives Matter Street, we’re gonna take it back.” He also called to “tar and feather” the street and “all our delegates.”
Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department and D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency started they are ready to react to any illegal activity.

In June of 2020, Washington Mayor Muriel Bowser had “Black Lives Matter” painted on the street that leads to the White House as well as renamed 16th Street to “Black Lives Matter Plaza.”
