Hey twin! Mariska Hargitay, 62, and her 15-year-old daughter Amaya Hermann hit the 2026 Emmy Awards carpet in matching red sequin and feather Monse gowns — inspired by a dress worn by Hargitay’s late mother Jayne Mansfield. Hargitay is best known for playing “Olivia Benson” on NBC’s ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ since 1999. Her mother, is best known as a 1950s movie star. She starred in the 1956 musical, ‘The Girl Can’t Help It.’

On Monday evening (September 14), Hargitay pulled up to the 2026 Emmys with her whole family. She had husband, Peter Hermann, 59, and their two sons, August Miklos Friedrich Hermann, 20, and Andrew Nicolas Hermann, 14. Plus, their daughter Amaya Josephine Hermann, 15.
Hargitay and Hermann adopted Amaya in 2011 after giving birth to their first child, August, in 2006. Six months after adopting Amaya, the couple adopted their youngest child and son, Andrew. According to reports, Hargitay and Hermann were present when Amaya was born.

Hargitay said it was one of the most meaningful moments of her life. In April 2012, Hargitay told ‘Good Housekeeping,’ “I basically pulled Amaya out. Peter and I held her, and then the birth mother and I hugged for a long time. That was profound.”
In 2019, the Emmy Award winner told PEOPLE:
“Having lost my mom at a young age, I then grew up with my stepmom, and I have half-siblings, and so I know that families can be built in all sorts of different ways, that there isn’t just one way to create a family and that it isn’t just about biology.”
Now, on the 2026 Emmys carpet, Hargitay and her daughter payed homage to her mother. They wore matching red sequin dresses, similar to that worn by Mansfield in her hit musical. Earlier this month, Hargitay won two Emmy Awards for her documentary about her mother, entitled, ‘My Mom Jayne.’
