Thankfully, a good samaritan who happened to be nearby flagged down an officer on patrol after witnessing the crime. From there, the patrolling police Sargent rushed to the scene in the parking garage, where he discovered two suspects robbing another person at gunpoint, according to CBS46.

Apparently, one of the suspects refused orders to drop their weapon and so the responding officer opened fire, striking the suspect in the chest and arm. It was said that both suspects are now in custody. The injured suspect was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in serious, but stable, condition.

No officers or shoppers were reported injured during the shooting.
