A Gainsville, Florida woman tried to kill her boss twice in one day last month in order to hide a fraud scheme.

Gainsville.com reports Linda Renae Williams,39, was apprehended by police last month after it was discovered she tried to murder her supervisor in order to hide a fraud scheme. A criminal complaint stated that Williams tried to hit her former boss, Elizabeth Schulz-Seelbach, with a car just an hour before stabbing her. Williams worked as an accountant at the law firm Scruggs, Carmichael & Wershow and was confronted by Schulz-Seelbach about the firm’s finances being out of order. Williams left shortly after feeling upset about the “accusation.”

The following morning, Williams drove to her supervisor’s home and drove towards her vehicle in a potential head-on collision. Hours after, Williams waited for Schulz-Seelbach to arrive at the office and asked if she could speak with her in an office. During the discussion, Williams pulled out a five-inch fillet knife and stabbed her several times in the neck.
