A Pennsylvania woman was arrested after it was discovered she placed a $100 deposit and agreed on a payment plan for a hitman to kill her husband.

An informant sent a tip to the Allentown Police Department that Claudia Carrion attempted to hire a hitman to kill her husband. A detective said he met up with Carrion and she explained why she wanted to carry out a hit on her husband, he was allegedly abusing her and her family. In their agreement, the undercover detective and Carrion agreed on a payment of $4,000 for her husband’s death but she couldn’t pay the entire fee in full so she gave a $100 deposit.
Shortly after they made the “agreement”, Carrion was taken into police custody. As detectives spoke to the woman, she further explained that her husband had abused and cheated on her several times. Prior to the hitman hire, she didn’t report the abuse to the police.

Carrion added that she was going to make weekly payments to complete the transaction and attempted to hire a hitman to kill her husband before but it failed. She was placed at the Lehigh County Jail and didn’t make bail.
Carrion is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing that is scheduled for July 8.
