A woman was reportedly shot by a fellow passenger while riding in the back of a crowded Uber in Miami on Saturday.

A girl’s night out led to a deadly shooting in the back of an SUV
Authorities said Gladys Yvette Borcela,28, was in a packed Uber with six other people when she was arguing with Natalia Harrell,24. Surveillance footage from the vehicle showed the moment when Harrell allegedly pulled a gun out of her purse and shot the mother of three. After the shooting, Harrell and the six other passengers ran out of the vehicle after the Uber driver stopped the car.
A witness explained to investigators that Harrell was reportedly upset that Borcela was drinking and dancing at a lounge hours earlier, then texted her saying, “get your girl under control.” After the venue closed, Borcela, Harrell, and the group ordered the Uber. The women started arguing while sitting in the same row. During the argument, Harrell moved to the front of the SUV and yelled, “You don’t want this; you don’t want me to go in my purse,” PEOPLE reported.

Borcela’s mother created a GoFundMe account to help pay for her funeral expenses and said she was someone who would help anyone out regardless of her issues.
“My daughter’s life was taken away from her and she did not deserve this. She was the life of the party and a beautiful soul to be around. She always held her hand out for any one that needed her even when she had battles of her own. She put her 3 beautiful children first and now they have to grow up and only hear of memories of their beautiful mother. I don’t even know how to tell my grand baby’s someone took their mother away from us. Our family is heartbroken and we need help for the funeral arrangements and a little more help with providing for her children.”
Harrell has been charged with second-degree murder and is currently held without bond.
Social media reacted to the shooting; some called the situation “sad on both sides.”
Based on the case’s details, some Twitter users believed the shooting was based on jealousy or a fit of rage during the night out.
