A Tik Tok video revealed the moment when a passenger was duct-taped to her seat after she reportedly had a mental health episode during an American Airlines flight.

The video was uploaded by user @lol.ariee where she described the scene as it unfolded on the late-night flight several days ago. She said the American Airlines aircraft took off from the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport and within two hours, flight attendants were running up and down the aisles, securing the bathroom doors and other areas as reported by TMZ. Moments later, the captain made an announcement for all passengers to remain seated since there were issues going on in the front row.

After the plane landed, the user said she saw the female passenger duct-taped to her seat and the woman was crying out loud as other passengers were exiting the plane. In a statement, American Airlines said the female passenger attempted to open the forward boarding and “physically assaulted, bit and caused injury to a flight attendant.”
“For the safety and security of other customers and our crew, the individual was restrained until the flight landed at CLT and could be met by law enforcement and emergency personnel.”

The outlet said the woman was later transported to a local hospital for treatment.
