Welp, can’t say we didn’t see this coming: It’s over between T.J. Holmes and his wife Marilee Fiebig as the Good Morning America anchor has just filed for divorce.
According to Page Six, Holmes, 45, made the big move to file for divorce from his wife of 12 years this Wednesday, December 28 in New York.

Their split comes just weeks after it was revealed by the Daily Mail that he and anchor Amy Robach, 49, had been secretly dating each other. In the snaps, the twosome is seen enjoying drinks at a bar in New York City while in another picture shows Holmes touching his “colleague’s” cheeks as she packs up the car. Now, neither of them has publicly spoken out to deny or clarify these dating rumors. However, after being taken off the air, the two have not been hiding their romance.
Nearly two weeks ago, the GMA3 co-stars were spotted again after the bombshell news came out —- walking arm-in-arm as they wrapped up against the cold of the city. The two seemed completely unbothered and another pic even showed them heading back to T.J.’s apartment laughing and smiling as they chatted away.
This latest news also comes weeks after a close source spoke with ET and said that the two journalists had both been separated from their spouses since the summer!
Holmes who have been married to Marilee Fiebig, and Robach to actor Andrew Shue, had been married to their respective partners since 2010.
It was said that Robach and Shue had been in mediation already and were preparing to announce their split prior to the news breaking of her romance with Holmes. Meanwhile, it was also said that the former couple sold their apartment in September and their divorce is expected to be settled soon.
So Why Did They Get Taken Off Air If This Was The Case?
Well as President Kim Godwin explained to the staff about the matter: It had “become an internal and an external distraction: The relationship between two of our colleagues,” Godwin said at the time she made the announcement. “And so, I want to say that while that relationship is not a violation of company policy, I have really taken the last few days to think about and work through what I think is best for the ABC News organization. And so, for now, I am going to take Amy and TJ off the air, while we figure this out.” Godwin added such decisions “are not easy, they’re not knee jerk, but they are necessary for the brand.” She also asked staff to “stop the whispering in the hallways” about the matter.

Marilee Fiebig who shares a kid with Holmes has not yet broken her silence on the divorce filing.
