In more good updates about Bronny James, the young athlete is returning home following his hospitalization.
Bronny has been recovering at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for three days after the 18-year-old son of LeBron James went into cardiac arrest while working out at USC. Dr. Merije Chukumerije, a consulting cardiologist for Bronny James, gave a statement issued by the hospital Thursday confirming that Bronny was “successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest” thanks to “the swift and effective response by the USC athletics’ medical staff” after the incident Monday at the University of Southern California’s Galen Center
“He arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center fully conscious, neurologically intact and stable. Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly-trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting. Although his workup will be ongoing, we are hopeful for his continued progress and are encouraged by his response, resilience, and his family and community support.”

More On The Health Scare
As we previously reported, during a USC practice on Monday, the guard entered cardiac arrest on the court and reportedly collapsed. Bronny was treated by the medical staff and taken to the hospital, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The family cid rimed reports in a statement by a rep. It read,
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU,” the statement began. “We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.” The spokesperson added, “LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes,” the rep said earlier this week.
As of Tuesday, he was listed in stable condition after being removed from the intensive care unit. A source provided an update on Wednesday saying Bronny was doing much better and his parents feel a little bit relieved.
Earlier this Thursday morning, LeBron James spoke out for the first time to thank his fans for all the love and support they’ve been sending his family, especially his teen son who has been following in his footsteps as a basketball player.
“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers,” LeBron James wrote. “We feel you and I’m so grateful. Everyone doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love. Will have more to say when we’re ready but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us!”
He concluded his message with the hashtag “JamesGang,” which is a nickname for his family — his three children and his wife, Savannah James.
While many fans are happy to hear the good news about Bronny, they’re still sending him words of encouragement all over social media as well as more well wishes.
