Megan Thee Stallion is speaking out after being hit with a new lawsuit claiming she owes more than $1.2 million in unpaid wardrobe and styling fees.

The legal drama was filed by Six K and celebrity stylist Eric Archibald in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Megan Thee Stallion Responds To Lawsuit Claiming She Owes Stylist $1.2 Million In Wardrobe Fees

According to the complaint, the legal filing claims Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, contacted Six K to bring Archibald on board for “professional services for a variety of events.” The court documents reportedly claim that the services took place between January 8, 2024, and August 2025.

Now, this is where things get real messy, because fashion bills in celebrity spaces can run up fast. Wardrobe styling is not just pulling a dress and calling it a day. It can include fittings, prep days, assistants, tailoring, sourcing, shipping, returns, last-minute changes, and event-day execution. However, the issue here is not whether styling work happened. The issue is whether the charges are valid, verified, and owed.
According to the lawsuit, Six K and Archibald claim they submitted invoices to “each related Stallion entity” from January 25, 2025, to January 8, 2026. The complaint also states, “Each invoice is supported by a deal memo that was acknowledged by the related Stallion entity via email.” One invoice submitted as evidence allegedly claims Megan and her associated entities owe Six K $1,243,501.98 for services across several events.

The lawsuit also includes a sample deal memo dated July 8, 2025. That memo reportedly covers styling services connected to the Pete & Thomas Foundation Inaugural Gala in New York City, which Megan attended on July 16, 2025. The total on that memo comes to $53,800. The amount reportedly covers prep days, assistants, and three gowns.

Six K And Eric Archibald Claim The Alleged Unpaid Bills Impacted Their Careers

Six K and Eric Archibald are not just claiming that invoices went unpaid. They are also alleging that the lack of payment affected them personally and professionally. According to the complaint, Archibald says the unpaid bills have “impacted” him personally. Meanwhile, both he and Six K claim the situation has “adversely affected” their professional lives.

The complaint also claims that a portion of the money allegedly owed is for vendors. That detail matters because styling teams often work with multiple outside parties. So, when a bill is disputed, it can create a bigger chain reaction. Vendors may still expect payment. Assistants may be waiting. Designers, rental houses, and logistics teams may also be involved. Basically, one unpaid or disputed invoice can turn into a whole group project nobody asked for.

In the complaint, Six K and Archibald claim, “Despite the fact that Six K has made numerous and unsuccessful attempts to resolve payment over the course of the last two years, there is still no imminent direction towards settlement between the parties.” They are now demanding “immediate payment of the outstanding invoices.”

Still, lawsuits only tell one side when they are first filed. These are allegations, not proven facts. Megan has already made it clear that she disputes the claims. Therefore, this case may come down to receipts, contracts, emails, shipping records, deal memos, audit results, and whether the charges can be fully backed up.

This is also why celebrity business relationships can get tricky. The public sees the glam, the red carpets, and the final look. However, behind the scenes, teams are dealing with budgets, approvals, invoices, and payment schedules. When those details get cloudy, things can go from private disagreement to public lawsuit real quick. Because apparently, even gowns come with courtroom energy now. A truly exhausting plot twist, but here we are.

Megan Thee Stallion Denies The Claims And Says Her Team Found Fraudulent Invoices

Megan Thee Stallion is not staying quiet. In a statement provided to PEOPLE, she strongly denied the allegations and said her finance team conducted an audit of Eric Archibald’s wardrobe expenses. According to Megan, that audit raised serious concerns about the charges being submitted.

“My finance team conducted a comprehensive audit of Eric Archibald’s wardrobe expenses and uncovered fraudulent invoices, unsupported charges, and styling shipments tied to addresses that could not be verified. Those findings raised serious concerns about the legitimacy of expenses that we repeatedly tried to resolve privately with Eric’s team. Rather than address the issues from the audit, Eric and his team chose to file a lawsuit. The facts are on our side and I won’t be coerced into paying charges that can’t be substantiated.”
