Sharon Osbourne Reportedly Hires Security After Death Threats Over “The Talk” Drama

It’s been a pretty rough week for “The Talk” host Sharon Osbourne who was heavily criticized for her on-air dispute with co-host Sheryl Underwood over defending Piers Morgan, and his harsh comments about Meghan Markle. Apparently, Sharon and her family including the dogs have started receiving death threats! Now, she’s taking action to protect herself and everyone around her.

According to TMZ, the 68-year-old has reportedly hired a private security team after being bombarded by angry folks on social media and receiving several calls to her home threatening her safety. It was said that Sharon’s personal phone numbers have also been blowing up, wishing harm on her and her dogs.

TMZ reports that the private security guards have been stationed outside the Osbournes’ Los Angeles-area home all week to keep an eye out for anyone who may try to harm her.

Although Osbourne has been talking publicly about the controversy surrounding her, she has not spoken out on these latest reports. Until then, let us know your thoughts in the comment box below!

Sharon Osbourne Denies Calling Former Co-Host Julie Chen “Wonton” And “Slanty Eyes” — Believes She Was Set Up On “The Talk”

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sharon Osbourne speaks out to share how she’s been dealing with all the controversy surrounding her for defending pal Piers Morgan.

As we previously reported, the hosts of “The Talk” all weighed in on Piers Morgan being labeled racist after he brutally criticized Meghan Markle for her explosive interview with Oprah. During the conversation, Osbourne’s co-host Sheryl Underwood explained why Morgan’s statements about Markle had been interpreted by some as racist, prompting Osbourne to indicate that Underwood was suggesting she herself had been racist! Osbourne then lost her cool and told Underwood, “Don’t try to cry, if anyone should be crying, it should be me.” She claimed she was blindsided by the loaded questions about Morgan and even felt like it was all a “set up.” However, she later realized she was wrong and should have never dismissed her friend like that.

During Osbourne’s interview on ET, the host also brought up another heavy claim against the presenter. Multiple sources including Osbourne’s former co-host Leah Remini told journalist Yashar Ali that Osbourne “would frequently refer to then-co-host Julie Chen, who is Chinese American, as “wonton” and “slanty eyes.” According to these same sources, Osbourne also referred to her out co-host Sara Gilbert, who is lesbian, a “p*ssy licker” and “fish eater.’” Osbourne denied all of these big claims.

“People who are let go along the way get pissed off. I’m the big girl with the big mouth so they fire it at me.” The Talk is currently on hiatus and slated to return on March 17.

UPDATE: Sharon Osbourne Denies Calling Holly Robinson Peete “Ghetto”

Welp, Sharon Osbourne is trying to clear her name after former co-host of “The Talk” Holly Robinson Peete revealed that she called her “too ghetto” for the CBS talk show!

As we previously reported, Holly made that revelation in an Instagram post on Friday. The 56-year old who appeared on the first season of “The Talk” between 2010 and 2011 said: “I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too “ghetto” for #theTalk… then I was gone. I bring this up now bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/her co-host who remained calm & respectful because… she HAD to.” Holly was reffering to Wednesday’s show where Osbourne got into a heated exchange with co-host Sheryl Underwood about racism and Piers Morgan.

While speaking to Variety, Sharon said about Holly’s claims: “It’s an absolute lie – a 110% lie. I cannot have anyone fired… And that is not a term I use. That’s not in my vocabulary. I don’t speak like that.” She added, “The only ghetto I know is the Warsaw Ghetto and I think that’s the only time I’ve ever referred to something like that.”

Sharon has issued an apology on social media – in which she said: “To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry” – she added to Variety that she felt “blindsided” by CBS over the discussion on Piers.

It was also recently announced that an internal review has been launched into Sharon and Sheryl’s heated exchange on “The Talk.”

#Socialites, get a load of this! Miss Sharon Osbourne is now apologizing after defending her good friend Piers Morgan and for demanding a definition of racism from co-host Sheryl Underwood on “The Talk.”

The 68-year-old co-host said she “panicked” and instantly “got defensive” when she believed she was being accused of being racist on her show, after she defended Morgan following his harsh comments about Meghan Markle.

In a statement posted to social media, Sharon wrote: “After some reflection, after sitting with your comments & sitting with my heart I would like to address the discussion on The Talk this past Wednesday. I have always been embraced with so much love & support from the black community & I have deep respect & love for the black community. To anyone of colour that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry.” She went on to say, “I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over. There are very few things that hurt my heart more than racism so to feel associated with that spun me fast! I am not perfect, I am still learning like the rest of us & will continue to learn, listen and do better.” Mr. Morgan is now speaking out and he’s also demanding an apology. Here’s what he tweets Friday morning:

“Sharon’s been shamed & bullied into apologising for defending me against colleagues accusing me of racism because I don’t believe Meghan Markle’s bullsh*t.
This is where we’ve reached.
