T-Pain Denies Usher’s Claim That They’ve Worked Things Out After His Harsh Auto-Tune Comments: “It’s A Big Lie”
Earlier this year T-Pain revealed that there was a time he suffered major depression after Usher blamed him for ruining music for real singers because of his use of auto-tune. The Grammy Award-winning rapper, singer, and producer shared that in a Netflix documentary, “This Is Pop.”

Usher later addressed the revelation in an interview with Billboard. He said, “I’m happy that T-Pain said something — I’m not sure if it was before or after our actual conversation, after I heard what was said,” the Grammy Award-winner said. “It was very hurtful to know that he had experienced that kind of hardship in life. I wouldn’t wish that on any person.” “But we’ve spoken since and we’re good,” Usher added.
Was that a lie? According to T-Pain, it sure was. The singer recently appeared on the @angiemartinez show where he clarified some things. He said, “So I hit Usher after the interview came out and I was like ‘yo I’m sure you saw what’s going on’ and then all he texted me back and was like, ‘let’s not text let’s talk.’ And I was like cool hit me up…never heard from him.”
Usher has not yet responded to T-Pains’s latest interview. Until then, check out what else happened to T-Pain this week and let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below!
