Ruth Bader Ginsburg Reveals Cancer Recurrence, Will Remain On Supreme Court During Chemotherapy
Earlier this week we reported that Supreme Court Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had been hospitalized with a possible infection and was later released after reportedly, “doing well.” We now report that Ginsburg has revealed a cancer recurrence, along with plans to continue working during her chemotherapy treatment.
On Friday, 87-year-old Ginsburg released a statement on her current status of health, revealing that since her recent hospitalization, she’s begun receiving bi-weekly chemotherapy for liver cancer, and so far, the treatment is yielding “positive results,” adding that she’s “fully able” to remain on the court.

Furthermore, this recent treatment is the latest bout Ginsburg has had with cancer. Previously, she’s had radiation therapy for pancreatic cancer in 2019, had tumors removed from a lung in 2018, was treated for pancreatic cancer in 2009, and before that, she’d battled with colon cancer in 1999. Throughout each of her battles, Ginsburg has fought to keep her seat and remain a part of the Court “as long as [she] can do the job full stream.”
