A 27-year-old Columbus, Ohio man named Gerson Fuentes has been charged in the rape of a 10-year-old girl who was denied an abortion. ICE also believes Fuentes is a Guatemalan illegal immigrant.
10-Year-Old Girl Denied Abortion After Being Raped By Man
Now the 10-year-old girl’s story was initially published in the Indianapolis Star. The story claimed that the victim reportedly had to cross state lines from Ohio to Indiana in order to receive an abortion due to her native state’s laws.
President Joe Biden eventually echoed the story in a speech last week, announcing his measures to protect abortion access in the wake of the recent Supreme Court decision that overturned the landmark Roe v. Wade decision.
Biden said, “Ten years old. Raped, six weeks pregnant. Already traumatized. Was forced to travel to another state. Imagine being that little girl.”

Ohio Man, Believed To Be An Illegal Immigrant, Charged In Rape Of 10-Year-Old Girl Who Was Denied An Abortion
Reports says Fuentes was arrested and charged with one count of rape after authorities learned of him impregnating a 10-year-old girl. The child’s recent story garnered international attention as she had to travel to Indiana for an abortion.
Court records say Columbus Division of Police generated a rape report on June 22. On July 6, the young victim identified Fuentes to authorities as the person who had raped her.
Nearly a week later, Fuenetes was served with a search warrant for a saliva sample. Police ended up taking him to their headquarters for an interview, where he later confessed to raping the young child.
On Wednesday (July 13), the courts ordered Fuentes remain in the Franklin County Jail, where he sits with a $2 million bond.
During his arraignment, Detective Jeffrey Huhn testified and stated that the rape investigation began after Franklin County Children Services sent them a report from a parent who claimed her daughter was pregnant.
Det. Huhn said that Fuentes admitted to raping the young victim on at least two occasions during their interview.

ICE Officials Believe Ohio Man Accused Of Raping 10-Year-Old Girl Is An Illegal Immigrant
Additionally, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) source told Fox News Digital that Fuentes is a Guatemalan illegal immigrant.
While Det. Huhn claims that he has no knowledge as to whether Fuentes was in the country legally or not, he added that there had been some confusion as to whether Fuentes’ name was even real as authorities could not present any legal documents.
The ICE source claims that Fuentes is a Guatemalan national who is living in the United States illegally. They say that ICE has placed a detainer on Fuentes, which is requesting that he eventually be handed over to them for removal proceedings.
